Is anyone interested in meeting in Myrtle Beach and catching one of the 2 casino boats they have? I read Irish's topic on the Darksiders Ball during the GAC in July but I would love to try that before then.
Let me know if anyone is interested and we can pick some dates.

I live part time in north myrtle beach and have not been on Big M in a few years. They use to have another boat years ago called Suncruz I think. it was a liitle bigger and did not rock as much as Big M. I think Big M is nicer but smaller. Have you been on it lately? Last time I was on Big M it was rough and about 40% of the people got sick including me.advdel77

Big M bought out SunCruz I think. Yes I've been out on the boat within the past 2 weeks. They now have 2 ships one smoking and the other non smoking. I have seen some people get sea sick but it never seemed to bother me too much. I think the non smoking ship is bigger and normally not as busy.

The big M also has a sister boat (also called The Big M)that goes tues-sun each morning and Fri-Sat-Sun evenings out of Ft. Myers beach, Florida. Small boat, has one 12 ft playable craps table, about 12 BJ tables, 1 roulette, poker on another deck with slots all over. Nice few hours in the Florida calm gulf waters.
In 2016 they decided to not run the boat all year. It only runs in the busy season from Nov-April.
Great for us Florida folks who have no place to play craps cause all the day cruises that had craps went out of business. They made most of their $ from slots and BJ and there are now quite a few Indian casinos local to Miami, Ft. Laud, Naples, Tampa etc. But the State will not let any of them have real craps or roulette (they have electronic wagering, air puff the dice in a big glass bubble and roulette on a computer screen). But they do have BJ, tons of Slots, Baccarat, and other sucker card table games like let it ride, war etc. So they put the boats out of business. Only problem with the Big M in Ft. Meyers is the following:
Takes me 18 minutes to go from my Naples vacation house to get to be 1 mile from the boat. A beautiful ride along the coast - THEN over 1 and a half more hours in bumper to bumper slowly crawling beach traffic for the last mile.
So I've just spent 2 hours to get there. Now it gets worse.
In the gulf, the feds have a 10 mile limit where in the Atlantic ocean its only 3 miles to reach international waters. They have to go slow also, so it takes over another hour to open the tables.
Desperate to play, I endured this a couple of times only to be rewarded with a very crowded table. Only got to toss once for all those many hours. I'd rather drive 11 hours to Biloxi. Or catch a TR comp to AC.

I've been on the Big M in Ft Myers in the several times in the past because like you I live in FL and enjoy craps. If you want a shorter trip than Biloxi you might try the Victory Cruise Casino Ship out of Port Canaveral Being on the east coast the limit is only 3 miles and less than 30 minutes. they sail twice a day and the ship's casino is fairly updated with coinless slots and they cater to craps with 3 or 4 tables. The weekends are usually packed but you will get to play. If you want to make it a mini vacation I would suggest staying in Cocoa Beach a few miles down the road. The best kept secret is the Cocoa Beach Inn if you want something really nice on the beach side.

Thanks selfer61,
I just may do the Port Canaveral thing. I live near Boca but also have a small vacay home in Naples
where I tried the Big-M. Should take about 3 hours from Boca Raton, can possibly just try it for a day trip
with a friend who also plays.
Is there any heat for dice setters?
I heard day boats don't like it and the heat is on.

The Victory use to have a policy of no setting but changed it to setting allowed and as long as you do not delay the game you should be OK. If you are looking for someone to make the daytrip with you I live in Delray and if I am around might join you. I also have a table if you want to do a practice session.
