Re: A day at the races.
Funny thing about forum post. You can't tell if someone is trying to be a smartass or not. I had a follow up question but don't worry about it. You probably did answer but I didn't understand and that's what I was trying to do. The post you mentioned didn't answer to where I understood it or I wouldn't have ask again.
Re: A day at the races.
Greetings team taylor,
my bad, i did not answer your question.
Your question is---so if all three postions are less than 9/2, or two of them are less than
9/2 you still only bet on one.
Let me break this question down to two parts.
Part one---if all three postions are 9/2 or less
you play post postion one, because pp 1 has the advantage over pp # 2 and 3.
Now part two ---or two of them are less than
9/2 you still only bet on one. [ yes ] let me explain which one you are going to bet.
lets say pp # 2 is 9/2 or less and pp # 3 is also 9/2 or less, you are going to bet pp #2 Because pp # 2 has the advantage over post postion 3.
Team Talyor, always remember that pp # 1 always has the advantage over pp# 2 and 3,
and pp # 2 always has the advantage over post postion # 3.
Hope that answers your question. if you have any other questions post them to me.

Re: A day at the races.
Perfect, Thank you. So here is where I was going. I understand pp1 has better advantage than 2 and so on. But if I understood with this handicapping, PP1, PP2 and PP3 win more than others. So if you had more than one of the first three PP's or any combination of the first three pp (with correct handicapping) wouldn't it be advantageous to put the two or three in a trifecta or exacta box instead of just playing the one position? Just trying to learn.
Re: A day at the races.
Greetings team taylor,
I see how that could work if you box the trifecta or exacta, but what i would do is [ wheel ] those two picks on top and bottom. it would be more money But you are garantee a win if either pick wins the race OR comes in secound in that race.
To be a winner in the game of horse racing YOU NEED A BIG TIME BANKROLL.
I'M talking about a min--- of 10,000 and a max--- of 100,000
Horse racing betting is a full time job,we are talking about 40 hours a week or more.
If is a sunny day you go to work, if is a rainy day you go to work. if is 10 below you go to work, if is 100 degrees you go to work.
The most important thing in betting is to have a betting ticket seller in your pocket TO take your bets the last minute of the race.
The best thing to do is to go to the track and bet 10 dollars on your pick and have a good time at the track. Have some hot dogs and a beer or two.
If you think casino gambling is hard then try horse racing betting, you will change your mind.

Hi Jaime- times have changed. Gone are the days of driving to the local OTB and sitting in smoke-filled bingo halls with tables and chairs.

Thanks for the info. By the way, the working rain or shine, cold or hot sounds a lot like working on my farm!!
