Question on Buying 5 and 9 in LV

Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

Question on Buying 5 and 9 in LV

Post by AlamoTx » Fri Mar 31, 2017 3:40 pm

I typically play at Total Rewards properties, and all of them it seems charge the vig on buying the 4 and 10 AFTER the number hits.

Do any of you know the policy at Ballys, Cromwell, Paris, Bellagio, Gold Coast and/or any others, re when the vig is paid on the 5 and 9? I would assume that at places where the vig is paid AFTER the hit on 4 and 10, that it would be the same on the 5 and 9.

Appreciate the feedback.

My experience in trying to buy the five and nine in Vegas has been has follows:

1. Stupid look
2. "Say what?"
3. "No, you Place the five and nine - you Buy the four and ten."

It just causes so much confusion that I don't even try anymore. You do get spoiled playing in Mississippi.

been away due to health reasons, and just thought i'd drop in, saw this question and this is what i experienced at the cal a few years ago. they would charge the vig up front making it 5 % or so depending on the amount, and also agree with heavys 1,2 and 3.

best regards to all,
