Craps Apps for betting practice

Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

Craps Apps for betting practice

Post by crapsjourney » Mon May 08, 2017 4:51 am

My favourite Craps app for Apple devices is called "Craps Lite"

It's got all the bets you could want / need.

And in my opinion is the best out there. And I've tested all of them. Even paid ones.

Downside is it's not being updated anymore in line with the phone operating systems. But it still works.

I always start with $400 (my normal buy in) and test different strategies.

The best I've done so far is to get to $4049 before my greed took over and stupid bets ground me down.

Lessons learnt

1. Have self control at all times.
2. Don't put more than 10% of your rack on the table at the beginning of a hand and use your wins in that hand to build up bets.
3. And don't chase.

Well, I'm a die hard WinCraps guy, but that looks like a good app. I've not found any craps apps for the phone that were worth a flip. The free ones mostly load your phone up with garbage. Haven't seen one that I felt was worth the $3 or $4 to install it.

Yes, I use Craps Lite. Very good free app that works well. Great to use on the airplane to kill time. People always ask..."what is that?"

I use to have that app. What's good about it is that you can go into setting and make the "shooter" either random, a rhythm roller, or a DI. You can also change the dice set as well.

For me it started to crash every time I opened the app, so I just deleted it.

Yes unfortunately on certain phones it may crash. The author is no longer updating it. If I could contact him, I would buy the app code and rights off him and get it up-to-date.

The next Craps app after "Craps Lite" is "Craps Shooter"

The rest are no good, and not worth the time playing them.

I find Craps Lite to be more random and realistic conditions. If you can win with Craps Lite you are in a good place for the chop of reality.

Once I got Craps Lite working again, I switched back to using it over Craps Shooter.

You can see the distribution of the Random dice set in Craps Lite over 70,000 throws. I'd say very accurate. I don't use the other dice sets, such as TheStoic mentions for Rhythm roller or your favourite DI sets 3V, 2V etc.

I want to practice my betting on totally random rollers, so if I profit I know I'm doing something right that can translate directly to casino play.

I've used CrapsShooter on an iPad, it's ok; though cumbersome for darkside action, D.N8r
