Craps Betting Strategy Game - New Thread

Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

My approach is somewhat more 'set' in that it views unknown-to-me dice-influencers in a "What will MOST LIKELY occur with MOST of them?" sort of way...or in other words, "What betting-strategy will MOSTLY fit all D-I's?"

While using a set-method like the MP $204-Across two-hit Regression certainly misses out on some of the 'six-Midnights-in-a-row' anomalies; it also seems to capture and retain more net-profit more often from a broad-range of variously-skilled dice-influencers.

In between the time I posted above until now, someone PM'd me to say that the MP-$204 would have something like $909 in-rack, with $242 on the table; but I haven't checked their math.

Of the many, many things I've gotten out of the still ongoing Testing, Testing Formulized Bet-Strategy thread; the one that sticks out is the fact that there's certainly more than one way to successfully skin the 'One Size Nearly Fits All' profit-seeking cat.

If X happens I'm going to do Y. Example, if the shooter tosses six eights in a hand I'm going to do a full press on eight numbers three and five. Something to that effect. Of course, all of this requires that you pay attention and actually "work" at your betting strategy as the hand evolves. And every betting strategy should also include a "what if" worst-case scenario.

When we first started this exercise, I thought the intent was to test each strategy/system against the rolls that would follow. I did not understand until I noticed some players zigging and zagging that the exercise actually was just a virtual craps session where anything goes. Now I know.

Well, it's a little bit of both, I suppose. Frankly, I appreciate how many of you have stuck to your guns rather than chase the numbers that are rolling. You're made of sterner stuff than me. I'd be all over the six, eight, and nine right now and would probably have a little of the the ten as well. Meanwhile, back at the dice. Dice are out - shooter has 'em. They roll . . . SEVEN OUT - Line Down, Pay the Don'ts. Update those bets, please. While we're at it, sometime before roll time tomorrow would someone run a one post recap of all players current positions? Thanks. Let's hear where we stand, guys. New shooter coming out.

7-Out. LOL. Applause for the shooter. Nicley done. Lots of numbers not too much trash.

Last night, I was debating putting up some money on the 9 or regressing again. I came up with a compromise, keeping minimum action on the 6 and 8 and adding a minimum bet on the 9. The net result was to spread my action to include the 3 dominant numbers AND take some money off of the table. So no hit on that last 9 but I did put $8 more in my rack and lost less when the 7 came. Per-fect.

7 Out, lose $34

$00 On Table
$840.00 In Rack

$840 Total Bank

Nice Hand. Net +$340.00 from $500

Can I get that comped steak now please?

Nice hand, shooter. I managed to bump up my buy-in by 68%. No complaint there. When the 7 did come I had very little money left on the table, less than was out on most tosses. This was one of those hands that most players base their betting strategies on (start low and press). I took pretty much the reverse approach and did all right. Most of my profit was made in the first 2 rolls, the rest was gravy.

Is this the end or do we see another shooter?

Heavy,

I will do the results ciphering. Still waiting on final posts from wudged/al_falcons and taboo. Looks like aztek and Buy the Four dropped out as I don't see any recent posts.

New shooter coming out. Shooter has 'em. She sets the dice and tosses . . . . TEN easy. That ten rolled six-four. Good in the Field. Get those odds bets, place bets, come bets, prop and hop bets in early.

Well, here we go. Somebody give me those "fight night dice" and let's switch them into the game. Dice are out. Shooter has 'em. She rolls . . . 3 craps.

Let's get those updates in early.
