Headed Back...

Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

Headed Back...

to the Craps table after a layoff. Interested to hear from you on some solid betting strategies to apply with a revived BR.

I usually stay long enough to toss about 3 times in a session BUT, I don't think that actually gives me enough tosses. That said, I don't really want to take a $300 BR and divide it into 3 and bet it all on those three hands. Dunno...maybe that IS the best method.

I rarely bet on randies so I'm not sure that is an option either...except the Dark Side!

Maybe just divide by 10 and bet OHCM on everybody?

Maybe $18/18/18 OHCM on myself, take/press/take if things seem to be going well. Regress and come down if not?

Bet $210 on my three efforts and take the $90 and bet Dark Side on the randies who aren't tossing well?

I suppose it is really what the table seems to be giving. Bet on yourself with most of your BR and flow with the table on the rest of it...

Thoughts?

This is too much action to have on the table with a $300 buy in, but I'd definitely do some sort of early regression on myself and any known shooter you decide to bet the right side on. You could do $12 each on the six and eight for one hit then regress to $6 each after one hit. Or $24 each and regress to $12 each but that might be a stretch. Get one hit. Regress. Get a second hit. Same bet. Get a third hit. Up a unit on the number that hit. That sort of thing.

Another right side play I like is to bet ONLY one number - the sister of the number that was established as the point. Let's say the 9 is the point. Bet $15 on the five for three rolls or one hit. No hit? Take it down and wait on the next shooter. Get a hit? Pays $21. Regress to $5. Next hit press to $10. Next hit same bet. Next hit go back up to $15. Next hit same bet.

With a $300 session buy in I would consider $12 DP with $12 and $12 on the six and eight on a one hit can't miss play. With that said, you might also consider making that a $12 DC bet instead of a DP bet and still place the six and eight. There's no need to regress after a first hit on the six or eight, but I can think of no reason not to. Seems like a pretty powerful play to me unless I'm just suffering from over-medication and too much lack of sleep here.

On the random roller who you've tracked and who has continuously tossed short hands - I might just go with a $10 DP followed by a $5 DC. If you get knocked off either then lay single odds on the remaining number in an effort to recover.

Remember the definition of a grind. It's not something you can do quickly.

Here's what I'd do, and did. For yourself, Pass line and 6/8 minimum. For randies, no bet as much as you can get away with, and since this is your "regular" casino hopefully the dealers will be more forgiving on your return. Make sure you can get your spot, if I recall correctly SL? If you can't, don't play. You want to build back your confidence and your winnings; go for small gains, until your winnings enable you to go for larger gains.

I would not press the place bets, just keep collecting and have a win goal in mind so you can walk away. But I would stick to the 3 times limit. It gives you just enough time to make any minor adjustments but if it's not working, it's not working. Remember everyone SO, so don't get to distraught if it happens, even if it's PSO.
