Darth: Excellent synopsis. You touched the points I discovered by trial and error dumb luck. I can sleep good now that there is another player that completely understands Dodging Bullets. sia

D.N8r...excellent information. MP's Choppy Table Short Leash strategy average overall win per person was $13 right? Probably not the best ROI but, still positive Win territory...no overall loss but, overall Win!

I still need some help here though...

You know, still as a relative newbie, I still don't quite grasp the S&D or 7/11 COs as a sign of a warming trend.

IMO, tossing 7/11/2/3s is a cold sign. It is a sign that you are WAY off, if you are shooting for paying box numbers or just at complete randomness with the toss. Sure, if one is shooting for them great but, I consider the shooter in this case to be a randie who is just chunking the dice down the table and is NOT betting horn numbers.

Yes, I am going to take some hits on the DP line, just like a PSO or busting on a WOTCO. BUT, I usually recover to stay in positive territory with DP bets.

Am I just completely wrong about my S&D CO thinking here of it being a cold sign?

Sometimes all this thinking and analyzing just gives us more headaches and paralyzes us. Paralysis due to over analysis. Just roll the dice, take your chances and enjoy the game.
Previous results are not indicative of future performance.

Strat,
I've not been able to validate MP's claim of $13/shooter. I'm rather indifferent to that stat as my goal is maintaining and advancing my chip count, while outlasting a few people to improve my position on the table for when I shoot. Plus, I also am positioning to go up on the 6 & 8, as I'm not limiting my darkside choices to the CT-SL. Sometimes I'm less than $13, sometimes more.

Re the 7/11/2/3 question - I'm playing this against randies, not on DIs or my roll, so if I'm betting DPs and losing to 7s and 11s, I want to back off as I'm concerned about the temperature eroding my chips. With the 7 & 11, you figure to take a few hits ( and have to choose how deep you go - i.e. is it truly warming and you're digging the $285 hole) but I'm not going to do that 5th level of the CT-SL as more likely I'm already on the 6 & 8 and in transition mode. So, you're not completely wrong; but then again there are no absolutes or certainties as its still gambling. As Irukanji says there is the possibility of overthinking, but then again, I like having options - sometimes they go my way, sometimes not, D.N8r

By the way, congrats on the baccarat effort - I need to reread that thread - keep up the good work, N
