the $38 dollar play
Anybody ever used the $38 buy in? It was posted on another forum. You take $30 and place the 6 or 8. You retain the 8 bucks in your hand. 6 or 8 hits, you drop a dollar to the dealer and your bet goes to $66. That hits and you drop the last $7 and tell the dealer to go to $150. Or you take your $143. A sweet $105 profit for 2 hits on a number. Of course we all know what happens on a 7 out, but two hits ain't bad.
Re: the $38 dollar play
Actually I think the profit is $111 from a $143 and down play. Or if you go all in for $325 and down on the third hit, profit would be $287.
I've never been a big fan of these all in strategies. It sounds simple enough and seemingly relatively easy money, but you have to initially guess right that a hand is going to have 2+ hits on either the 6 or 8.
Hell if you're going to go for an all in play on a $38 buy in, why not just go $36 on the 6 or 8 to start. First hit go to $78. Second hit is either $169 and down for a profit of $139, or press to $168 and harvest $1 in your rack. Third hit is $364 and down for a profit of $335.

Re: the $38 dollar play
This is a play that I would only use on a good shooter..a DI or like the session I had last time where a gentleman to my right was a rhythm roller and hit a lot of 8s and 6s with a set. It's not a random play I'd use..but then again I have seen randies go long and repeat. I like your play better. I was just quoting from another forum. Then again any play is simply a guess. Isn't it?
Re: the $38 dollar play
Thnick I saw this one and war game it out 22 inside is right go for 36 to start you don't have to worry about droping chips.Takes ball though but is a lot of fun war game it on your table .36 on 6&8 first one hits go to 78 on that one wait 3 rolls if the other number has not hit take it down now you have only 36 at risk oh you got a hit go to 150 hey this place is hot collet 25 go to 300 hit this one and down please .
that's four hits on one number . Pays 19 plus 25 plus 350 plus preesed up wager minus 36 oringanl wager plus 264 rember your coming down after 4th hit pay day equals 658 and down if my math is right.
Back in the day we talk about plays like this all the time I miss the old days only one thing wrong with all these plans and that's murphy pso pso pso itkills all systems dead cold.Yes like I said its fun on the practice table but don't think ill try it out at the casino.
First practice session hit it 3 times in 10 hands
second practice session hit it in two hands of 10
Third go my ass waxed
It was fun to war game though have fun guys.

Re: the $38 dollar play
I use something similar but collect at 66 or you’re just playing russian roulette.
When I’m hot I play 30-66-66-150-180-390-600-900...
But my usual is 18-24-60-66-150-180-390-600-900...
1050 collects are good enough! And you rarely see 10 hits+

I will do something similar when I'm ahead. That's the qualifier. $30 goes to $60, I retain $5. $70 on the $60 goes to $120..I keep $10. Then it would be $240..$480. Never got up that high anyway. Keeps it simple just adding zeros to the basic plays. Only place I veered was the $480.
Re: the $38 dollar play
If I started at $30 each I'd probably take one hit, drop a dollar and regress to $18 each. Next hit - collect $21. Next hit, drop $3 and go to $42. Then we're into my usual old hit and progress my bets.

You profit total for 5 hits: +17,+38,+35,+84, (to 66) +109.
With 18-24-60-66-150-180.
My profit is +3,+7,+71,+64, +210.
I risk 36, you risk 60. Diffrent plays, but both fun
