Mississippi Press Schedule
Considering the Buy bets and vig, what is a moderate to aggressive press schedule to use on all box number place bets in Mississippi ?
(Especially on the five & nine). Give me your press schedule with a range from $5 table minimum to $5K table max.

$60 nine drop$3 go to $150. Go to $300, getting $68 change. Everything paid for, $5 profit, 3rd hit pays you $435! Me on 4th hit go to $500 with another $235 profit.
Re: Mississippi Press Schedule
$15 - $36 - $70 (or $80) - $150 - $300 - $500...

All things are possible when we have that SRR of 28 like MP!
Re: Mississippi Press Schedule
I am more likely to do $20 - drop $1 press to $30 locking up net $19. Now $1 at risk to win $59 net of vig. From there to 80. Then that 150 - 300 - 500 thing work fine. Like to get a little in my pocket early.

I assume you are using this as opposed to the 15-35-75 because of the buy bets in Mississippi, but im a little slow on the uptake of why 20-30 instead of to 20-35
just when i think i've got this press schedule stuff down somebody throws a monkey wrench in the works Ha. I guess i can always monkey see monkey do in Biloxi as i yield to those who taught me

A buck to buy starting at $20 gives you 3-2 if I'm reading this correctly. At $150 it's $3.00. There is so much stuff to remember.

Scout. For the 6 and 8 I use the same exact press schedule regardless of who is shooting, now that I found one I am comfortable with.

Re: Mississippi Press Schedule
$12 $12 $18 $42 $42 $90 $90 $180 $300 $420 $420 $900 It took some time to get this right. My plan was to go from $180 to $420, but I couldn't pull the trigger on that move, so I settled in at $300, to at least rack some money.
I rarely am on the 4 and 10 or 5 and 9 for randies...unless they start to show.
For myself 4 and 10 $10 $25 $50 $100 $200 $400 $800
Still working on the 5 and 9, since I do not play them on myself unless I start rolling them.

Re: Mississippi Press Schedule
Yeah, this was the whole reason behind BD's question in the first place. I always have to stop for a second and think about my press moves when playing in Mississippi. I'm not normally on the 5 and 9 as it is, unless the specific shooter or hand dictates it, so that makes it even more difficult to remember.Big O wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2019 9:27 am Heavy wrote,I am more likely to do $20 - drop $1 press to $30 locking up net $19. In MS, the move into the $30's would be to either $30 or $36, instead of the $35 level outside of MS that we're all used to. If you're looking to mirror the payouts of the $35 level in MS the closest approximation would actually be $34. That would pay a net of $50 after the vig, if my math is correct.
Similarly, if you want to mirror the move to $75 on the 5 or 9 that we're used to outside of MS, the proper move here is $70. Both pay $105.

Re: Mississippi Press Schedule
One thing I seldom see in Miss is a $70 5/9 . Going from 20-30-50. Then 80 or 100. I drop $7 and go to $80 with two green chips change. Not quite aggressive though.
Re: Mississippi Press Schedule
Again, my comment about $70 was for those trying to mirror the payouts to their equivalent bets outside of MS. Whether any of these moves are aggressive "enough" is a purely subjective matter.House of Orange wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2019 12:35 pm One thing I seldom see in Miss is a $70 5/9 . Going from 20-30-50. Re: Mississippi Press Schedule
MS $70 5/9 pays $102
NV $70 5/9 pays $98
Watch yourself at Harrah’s. Any excuse to pay the place bet amount(5&9), at say $25. They will pay the same as if you bought it at $24. $35 either way payout. Every other casino pays $36! Thieves!

Re: Mississippi Press Schedule
You're still misunderstanding. I was trying to equate a 5/9 bet with a similar bet that pays close to an equivalent amount outside of MS that we're used to having in our press schedules.
$70 5/9 in MS pays a net of $102 ($105 before the vig)
$75 5/9 outside of MS pays $105

Re: Mississippi Press Schedule
If that's true and consistent, it's definitely wrong and really highlights the need for the player to know both the proper bet sizing and expected payouts wherever you're playing. In MS that $25 bet should payHouse of Orange wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2019 3:05 pm Watch yourself at Harrah’s. Any excuse to pay the place bet amount(5&9), at say $25. $36 on the $24 portion of the bet they can properly pay at 3:2 odds
$1 on the remaining $1 of the bet that is not properly sized
-$1 for the vig
-----------------
$36 net after the vig
Re: Mississippi Press Schedule
So I guess you're nitpicking on the net amount in MS after the vig? Then why did you compare a $70 bet in MS and a $70 bet not in MS in your reply? My comment was clear on the different sized bets I was comparing.
Note that I don't really wish to continue this discussion and get into any silly argument or pissing contest over it. I'm out.
Re: Mississippi Press Schedule
Thanks for bringing this topic back where it belongs, scout. I'm looking forward to the Biloxi class in a couple of weeks. Going to be a great time.
