Re: Tracking Software
Clay,
The iPad only app called "Dice Tracker" is free and very limited compared to the wonderful Bone Tracker.
(iPhone version was discontinued back in 2013-15)
Having the iPad Dice Tracker next to my practice station whether at home or in the car is how I enter my rolls in real time. Today I tossed a 42 roll (in my car) before the 7 out.
The Dice Setting should be set to Craps Mode.
The Player Settings can have the players renamed to whatever "set" "grip" and "throw" that you are using.
The default color for the background can be changed and I prefer the Black and Blue background colors which can be set to use Player Colors in the "Settings" for the player "Sets" that you are using.
There is a nice graphical chart that updates in real time as you touch the number (2-12) that you just rolled.
If you tap or tap and hold on the chart you will get some details regarding statistics and variance for that number.
There is an undo last roll in case you tap the wrong number.
The Roll History will show "all rolls" entered and sorted by the player "set" name for all players or sets that were rolled.
There is no way that I have found to extract the (roll data) so I take two screenshots showing total rolls for a specific set and a screenshot of the chart.
Since the app has always been free I will post the link below and understand that if Heavy or any of the forum mods need to remove the link, I apologize in advance.

Re: Tracking Software
You can use Bone Tracker, put the worksheets into Google and enter your rolls via your browser. Most of the BT functionality works in google sheets but a couple of the betting tabs that rely on excel macros do not.
I don't know what the landscape of excel clones for mac/ipad looks like, but check the apple store and see what they have.
But whatever you do, don't enter your rolls into whatever tracking package you wind up with while driving.

Re: Tracking Software
Thinking of getting Bone Tracker. Will need to get Excel. Currently have Windows 10.
What version of Excel should I buy? What is the current version of Bone Tracker?
I am not a complete novice at softwear. But will need lots of instructions
Thanks,

Re: Tracking Software
Bone Tracker should work with just about any modern version of Excel. There are two copies of it in the distribution, I believe, one for older versions (pre-2010, I think) and one for newer ones. I've run it on pretty much every recent version of Excel for the past few years without issues.

Re: Tracking Software
Runs fine on Win7. Would have to have corroboration that it works on Win10
Re: Tracking Software
I'm using it on Win10 with no issues.
Re: Tracking Software
Not using it, but there is an app called Craps Wizard. It is rather pricey at $39.99. No idea of its full functionality.
Re: Tracking Software
Why pay $40 for an app when you can get Bone Tracker for free?

THANKS 22Inside
Since I'm going to buy Excel just for Bone Tracker, would to know what version is being used
The latest version from Microsoft is 2019 16.0.6742.2048
I can get older versions, if necessary
I've had compatibility issues with Microsoft in the past
Can any one check what Excel version they are running?
Thanks for the help

Re: Tracking Software
I’m looking to upgrade to Win10. My Win7 runs Office 2000 perfectly, and therefore BT 5.2. But I have no reliable backup so if whatever would work on Win10 without a subscription fee, works for me!
Re: Tracking Software
I run with an Office 365 subscription, so it's always being updated with the latest version, I've never had a problem with Bone Tracker behavior in any Excel version since I've been using it.Lucky38 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2019 5:29 pm THANKS 22Inside

FWIW, the vast majority of BT is simple cell formulas and is extremely portable. It's primarily the (out of place, IMO) couple of betting tabs that use any sort of visual basic customization and thus are not portable to other Excel like knockoffs, including Google Sheets. With that said, even Visual Basic is pretty portable from release to release of Excel.
