The bets for the dealer

Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

The bets for the dealer

Post by LetsPlayCraps » Sun Jun 30, 2019 7:24 am

I thought I asked before but can't find the thread.
If wanting to bet $3 on the CE for me and for the dealers for a total of a $6 bet, is that a "$3 CE two way" or a "$6 CE two way"?
Couldn't remember if you call the bet amount for each ($3) or the total bet amount ($6)?

I would just toss out $6 and say Two Way CE. They'll figure it out.

Yeah, but usually after a buy-in you don't have any $1 chips.
If I toss them 2x$5 and say $6 2-way, I don't want them to say toss another $5 chip since it is really $12 and not $6 because the terminology is wrong.

Ask for $1 chips as part of your buy in. I've adopted Heavy's line of telling the dealer I need some $1 chips for dealer bets. That gets you off on the right foot with them right off the bat.

Got it, thanks, but still interested in the official/proper terminology if a $3 bet for myself and the dealer is considered a $3 2 way or a $6 2 way.

I wouldn't worry too much about semantics, it's never universal, for example, your $6 two way, there are some players who actually mean $6 for you and $6 for the dealers. The dealers will clarify what you want when setting up the bet, after once or twice asking you about the bet for a few rolls, they'll know exactly how you want it. But in your example, you could toss in two red chips and say $3 two way, but t I'll still ask you, until they've seen you make that same bet consistently.

This is sort of why I was asking and makes sense.
I have placed bets in what seems various ways and yes, they do figure it out.
I thought there was a "universal" language but then craps is a unique game.

"Two dollar short horn for the dealers." That way they pick up .50 cents on the Yo and you save a buck.
