What bets CAN'T you make on the come out, other than Come and DC?
Re: Comeout bets...
Hiya jaime.
I've been trying different co plays myself during my quarantine practice time. I'm almost to the point where i think the best play is to work on learning to toss more sevens. I'd lay every box for $30 WOTCO and make my normal pl bet. If you get the seven do it till you don't. If you toss a box you loose $30, pull the rest down and play your normal game.
I've never tried to toss sevens even when i shoot the don't side. I like to play OHCM when dark so try to toss as many 6 and 8's as possible and take the seven when it comes. If i knock myself off before i seven i often transition to right side.
Of course on an ATS table the "lay play" is not the way i'd try to co.
Just a suggestion that I'm messing with to see if it could be a money maker.
Good luck,
Coaster

Re: Comeout bets...
Hi Jaime1943--good topic.
Coaster: I agree/concur with your thoughts above re:Comeout choices and pursuing 7s.
IMO we need to do one of two options: A)Catch all 7s, or B)Avoid >52% of all 7s, and wager/shoot toward that goal. I find option (A) easier and coupled with the fact we have our monies focused on one number helps with money management and dealing with the variance. Which IMO is ultimately our main enemy regardless of how one chooses to wager.
RE: Comeout. I find favor Laying the laggard between the 6/8. Typically when Im shooting I will do table min on PL coupled with a 1.0 BaseUnit on say the Lay6 and try to bring as many 7s on comeout. I prefer an aggressive pospro on first couple winning hits/then evaluate how I want to press between winning hits three/four based on my penetration into buyin. So to clarify if Im the shooter and win on CO I will do pospro on any CO winners and if I get another winner on hand-ending seven I then set aside the Lay6 until I get the dice again/ repeat the above. I prefer not to do any pressing on the PL/no odds as Im trying on every single toss to hit the seven and avoid the Lay6. My objective is to restrict the "1" pip face. If my PL travels to my Lay6 I will do a Lay8 for 1.0 U and use a dice set with the goal of restricting the "6" pip face.
If wagering on others I wont do a line wager so only a Lay6OR8 w 121 pospro on any winning Lay6OR8 wagers. Its nice when I get the previous shooters hand-ending seven and the current shooters CO seven.
My wager size is approx .025% of BI. My 35-40 Units typically endure an average session length of <=70-75 decisions.

Re: Comeout bets...
Practising to roll sevens and being able to do it, is probably, IMO, the key to the ferrari dealership. DP of $15, get a number, lay $30 odds and bang for a seven. Simple. I use a set that leans towards outside numbers to get something. I may make a hedge on the yo, but often it's just a naked bet. You don't get the rush of pressing and possibly making a lot of bucks on $96 across, but it's a good hit.
Re: Comeout bets...
Hi Thnick--Good post/ I like that approach and the way u think Re: Keeping it simple and funds focused. Often I find the easiest, quickest, /smoothest path is simply a 121 ish type pospro on a DC or Lay 6or8 or as u mentioned above a DP/odds on one #.
Hi Irish: Good thoughts re: HA/Laying Across.
Re: my suggested bet ratios of approx .025 of BI.
The following are my most common ratios(bet size-to-BI) for Laying the 6 OR 8.
If BI=$1000 with 1.0 BaseUnit starting at $24 or $30(.024 -to-.03),
$1500 BI w BU= $36 or $42, and
$2000BI w BU = $54 or $60.
When Im shooting its typically $60,w, par+ to $120, and then cont with pospro.
On others its typically a 121pospro: $42,w,par+ to 78,w, and back to 42.
Occasionally a dealer will say "u cant do $42 and I will start with $36, or will say u cant Lay for $24 so I would Lay @$30...etc. Its not uncommon when Laying the 6or 8 that dealers will pay incorrectly(usually a $1 in my favor or occasionally pay like it was a Place bet.). I typically try to keep the wagers in easier increments for the dealers as sometimes new or inexperienced dealers seem hurried and unfamiliar with some of the atypical increments: e.g., when doing a par+ from $60 I will go to $120 instead of $114,...etc.

Re: Comeout bets...
Looks like the decimal place moved two to right on the initial calc. 2.5% of $500 would be $12.50
Re: Comeout bets...
It's the hardest decision not to throw bets out there on the comeout cept a pass bet.
But on average days, you will most likely be grinding profits from doing so. I would recommend just skipping the CO bets, unless you have withnessed a repeating pattern from your DI and are willing to give it a try. Don't overpress and collect early is my strategy

Re: Comeout bets...
Other than a crapcheck or horn, i pretty much leave them be ..... these higher limits ya know might want a crapchek, then being the non superstitious type, since i did one on the comeout, i always do one till the hand is finished, thankfully im not superstitious at all!
If your gonna color up, there needs to be paint on the brush.
Re: Comeout bets...
Greetings mates and lady mates,
New system on the comeout, bet 16 dollars on dont pass, once the number is established, bet 32 dollars across AND ONE UNIT OF 5 DOLLARS ON ...DONT COME, repeat the bet on dont come till the game is over.
Then when you have a new shooter repeat the system.
Practice the system for free on the wizards [ play for free craps on the internet. ]. before you play it at your local casino.
luck for all.
