Plenty of dead-head time while the plane flies itself. That's why his software company is called Cloud City Software. Wonder if Covid 19 has him grounded or on limited flights these days or if he's still flying a regular schedule.
Airlines are hit hard. I just flew yesterday for the first time in a month and won't fly gain for another two weeks! We'll see what happens once the economy is opened again, but it could take years for the airlines to recover.

Just to prevent any confusion, I do my programming on layovers or when riding as a passenger -- never when working in the cockpit.

I see there's some interest in a WinCraps script for Dave' System, so I took the liberty of writing and posting one. You can find it here:

https://cloudcitysoftware.com/Dave's System.bet

I based the script on the first posts from this thread. It's set to run 1000 sessions. Each session ends whenever $200 win goal is reached or bankroll drops below minimum bet. These values including bet amounts, bankroll, etc can easily be modified.

Of course you can run simulations with custom roll files or skewed probabilities. After running a simulation, results are best viewed on the Sessions Log but additional aggregated data can be found on various statistics screens by selecting "All sessions".

Enjoy!

There is no application set to open the document “Dave's System.bet”.Search the App Store for an application that can open this document, or choose an existing application on your computer.

So will my Mac accept installation of WinCraps?

You need an operating full version of WinCraps (not the ad based version) to make the scripts run, I believe.

I know that it's 9 months later, but I just wanted to throw in...

I don't believe that you actually have to use the full version (registered) of WinCraps to run it. However, it's actually in a text format. It's just that some systems aren't set to recognize it only because of the ".bet" extension at the end; it has no idea what that type of file is.

I wish that I had seen this continuation of this thread a long time ago. I went through the process of making an Auto-Bet script for WinCraps a while back, and would have loved to just let someone else do it for me. LOL
Going to try to learn DI, from the ground up. "Cowboy Craftsman" on the Tube of Yous

Interesting system Dave has.....seems to me a Don't Pass with max odds would be the way to go. If you don't like the 6 or 8, place it and put up a DC and see where that lands.

I rarely Place the Six and Eight unless the shooter gets on a protracted hand. If I'm taking a deep dive on the Don'ts I'll Lay Single Odds on them. I'll Lay $30 on the Five and Nine (on a $10 or $15 game) and $30 - $50 on the Four and Ten. But if I get knocked off of two numbers I'll typically come down on Lay odds and wait for a decision on the remaining bets on that shooter.

Dave used to take his odds down after getting whacked twice. Bankroll discipline.
