Those SIDE BETS We Love to Play!

Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

Those SIDE BETS We Love to Play!

Show me a table full of DI's in Vegas and I'll show you a layout with the FIRE bet on it. No FIRE bet in that casino? Then I'd be looking for that All, Tall, or Small layout. Neither of those layouts available? Then just listen for the hop bettors.

Yeah, we crapsters love our "action" bets - and we can get a lot of action off a buck placed on the FIRE bet or played on the All, Tall, or Small. What's up with that anyway?

Do you have a favorite craps side bet? These aren't the only proprietary layouts around. Tell us what side bets you make when you step up to the table - and tell as about any "different" side bets we may not have heard of yet!

Pinnacle in St Louis started ALL, TALL, and SMALL this week on one table each at Lumiere and River City.

During my session at each casino, lots of folks throwing $1 on each for each shooter, several regularly putting up $5 on each for each shooter.

One guy bet Quarters on each one till he left, out of Quarters.

Wow! How I'd like to fade all those bets.

Saw the ALL SMALL hit yesterday at Lumiere.

Went to River City and saw the ALL TALL hit.

Immediately, the ALL bets became highly populated.

Funny how winners attract losers. Yeah, that's all I'll say about that.

Last time I was in Vegas the casino I was at, either Gold Coast or Orleanss, had the all, small, tall at omen of the tables and had a place bet spot for each of the Hards. The Hard place bet had to be the table minimum and paid 5 to 1.

First time i had seen that bet. Fellow playing the don't used the place hard as a hedge on his even point number don't.

Don't forget the Streak Shooter bet. Players hit it more often than the Fire bet, but it doesn't pay as much. You're in the money if the shooter makes three passes. The maximum bet allowed is typically $25. The casino at French Lick, IN, allows $50. I like to press that bet with a win from comeout naturals. After the point is set, the Shooter bet is closed to further action until it wins or loses.

Horseshoe, IN, casino allows up to $25 wagers on the Fire bet! Nice payoff on hitting just four points, which I've done a couple times. Not easy to do.
