UFC Ready to Throw in 2021

Believe it or not, craps is not the only game in the casino. Savvy players have a back-up plan for when their craps game is off. If Heavy isn't winning at Craps you're likely to find him playing Baccarat, Blackjack, or even Roulette. If the table games aren't working out he may even take a cigar break in the high limit slot area for a little hit-and-run action. But just like craps - you have to plan your play and play your plan. If you have a question on slots, video poker, carnival games or any table games other than craps, this is the place to post. Let's hear about the games you play when you're not playing craps! What's your game? What's your strategy? How's that working out for you? Inquiring minds want to know!

UFC Ready to Throw in 2021

Post by Banker_Bro » Sat Jan 16, 2021 10:14 am

UFC returns for the New Year as the fights return to Fight Island in Abu Dabi, UAE.

This mornings card looks like a smashing line-up. Yes the preliminary fights begin at 10am MST. Also, the main card can be seen on ABC.
There are a couple of stand and bang ladies fights which look like they will be strong.

Sarah Moras (32) will face Vanessa Melo (32) in one of the prelims and it should be smoking. Despite coming off a three fight skid, Melo (10-8) looks to demonstrate her capability against Moras (6-6). It will be Canadian (Moras) against Brazilian (Melo) in this three round war.

Wu Yanan (24) will face Joselynne Edwards (25) in another stand and bang preliminary fight. Wu (11-3) fighting out of China will attempt to demonstrate the rising talent coming out of her country. Edwards (9-2) comes off a KO win in her last which came in the first 28 seconds of the first round. Her Panamanian fighting spirit will be showcased.

The Main event will feature Max Holloway (29) versus Calvin Kattar (32). Both fighters are at their peak athletic capability. Holloway (21-6) comes off two loses in a row against division champ Alexander Volkanovski. The Hawaiian fighter should be ready. Kattar (22-4) of Massachusetts comes off a two fight win streak. This should be the fight of the night. Both fighters will punish each other with numerous throws. I think the former champ, Holloway might have the edge against Kattar who has been working his way up the rankings.

The Parlay at the LAS minimum, we are looking for a great big pizza.

Melo (+185) / Edwards (-105) / Holloway (-160). The parlay calculator shows a nice win at 45.21usd.

Enjoy the fights and may all your tickets be winning ones.

It looks like Louisiana will soon be adding sports betting to casinos down the road, including the ability to make on-line bets. I'm hoping I'll be able to wrangle a way to do that from 90 miles away. LOL. I doubt it, but with the right software I can switch my IP address to the same as the casino's in Shreveport. Time will tell.

That might be handy. Tonight I am glad I don't bet FB anymore as I would have lost my kiester. Enjoyed the game, me son that lives in TB had a good night. Somebody knew something as the final line was down a point to 2.5 I do not think TB will beat GB, but ya never know. The early lines are KC -2.5 and GB -4.5. If I were a betting man, I would jump on GB @ -4.5 because it will change.
Your craps plan? The dice gods laughed.

UFC 257. Are you ready??
This is the first ppv of the year featuring Dustin "Diamond" Poirier versus Conor "Notorious" McGregor. Prelims start at 6pm MST on ESPN+ and the main card will begin at 8pm MST as a pay per view. It should be a magnificent card.

The lady fighters are ready and the lads in the two main events are ready.

Julianna Pena (31) will face Sara McMann (40) in one of the prelim fights. Pena (9-4) comes off a loss and looks to start a win streak. McMann (12-5) is a submission expert who comes off a win almost exactly a year ago. Both fighters are from the USA. Pena fights out of Spokane, WA and McMann fights out of Gaffney, SC. It should be a very good fight. Lean Pena as she learns from her last.

The main card will feature two ladies fights. First up will be Marina Rodriguez (33) against Amanda Ribas (27). Both fighters are from Brazil. Rodriguez (12-1-2) is a fantastic Muay Thai expert and uses all eight limbs judiciously. Ribas (10-1) is an up and coming fighter just entering her prime. This lady is a submission expert and will try to get Rodriguez, the taller fighter, to the ground. Rodriguez comes off a loss while Ribas is on a five fight win streak. Love both of these fighters, but have to pick one. Ribas has the edge. Could be fight of the night.

Another main card event features #6 ranked Jessica Eye (34) versus #7 ranked Joanne Calderwood (35). Both fighters train out of Las Vegas, NV, Eye is from the USA and Calderwood is from Scotland. Eye (15-8) comes off a two loss streak while Calderwood lost her last. Specializing in Muay Thai, Calderwood should have the edge over a well-rounded Eye.

The MAIN EVENTS.

Dan Hooker (30) versus Michael Chandler (34) is going to be a smashing fight. Hooker (20-9) comes off a loss to Dustin Poirier who will be fighting "Notorious" in the main event. Chandler is on a two win streak out of the Bellator promotion. This is his debut UFC fight. Both fighters are in/near their prime. Hooker is a strong striker with kickboxing and jui jitsu skills. Chandler has a strong wrestling background. The Australian, Hooker, as the taller, longer fighter will keep Chandler at a distance while Chandler will try to take this to the ground. Hooker has the edge.

Dustin Poirier (32) will face Conor McGregor (32) in the top fight of the night. Poirier (26-6) is ranked #2 in this Lightweight division while McGregor (22-4) is ranked #4. Fighting out of Dublin, Ireland, McGregor is the best counter-striker in the world. Poirier is durable and advances a wicked fight pace. It will be tough for him to avoid the fierce strikes of McGregor.

The Parlays.

Stand and Bang Ladies Parlay:

Julianna Pena (+115) / Amanda Ribas (-310) / Joanne Calderwood (-120) should brings us 25.47usd at the LAS minimum, according to the parlay calculator.

Main EVENT(s) parlay:

Dan Hooker (-145) / Conor McGregor 2nd Round KO/TKO (+420) should bring us 43.94usd at the LAS min. according to the parlay calculator.

Again, Enjoy a great night of fights. May all your tickets cash.

UFC VEGAS 19.

A very excellent card as the Heavies will throw hard and bounce around the smaller octagon. No worries at the Octagon is said to be fully reinforced with four Heavyweight fights on today's (2/20) card. Prelims start at 3pm MST and the Main starts at 6pm MST. Should be a terrific Fight Night.

We look at the heavies. The first heavywight fight features Serghei Spivac (26) against Jared Vanderaa (28) with both fighters entering their fighting prime. Spivac (11-2) of Moldova comes off a win and will meet his match with Venderaa (11-4) in his UFC debut coming off two professional wins in a row. Like Vanderaa's has a strikers chance to best Spivac.

Next up with the Heavies is a veteran Andre Arlovski (42) against up and coming Tom Aspinall (27). Arlovski (30-19-2) comes off a two win streak while Aspinall (9-2) seeks to continue a five win streak, two of which come in the UFC. Aspinall, the younger fighter, from the United Kingdom has a slight edge over the fighter from Belarus, Arlovski. Look for a KO/TKO from Aspinall.

The next heavies we have Oleksei Oleinik (43) versus Chris Daukus (31). A nice match-up with Oleinik (59-13-1) a Brazilian Jui Jitsu specialist against a powerful striker in Daukus (10-3). If the Philly policeman, Daukus keeps this one on the feet, he has the edge.

The Main Event features two powerful heavies in Curtis Blaydes (30) against Derrick Lewis (36). This should be the best fight of the night, but don't blink as it has the potential to end quickly. Blaydes (14-2) has a wrestling and stamina edge and is the favorite. Lewis (24-7), the dog has a punch that could stop any EV in its tracks. Look for Blaydes of the USA to get this one to the ground for his fierce ground and pound attack. Lewis, also of the USA will need to keep this one on the feet and unleash his powerful punches. Looking for Lewis to end this one quickly, but will have a hedge with Blaydes.

Only two ladies fights on the card, but both worth the watch.
Prelim fight features Shana Dobson (31) versus Casey O'Neill (23) in her UFC debut. Dobson (4-4) will bring her striking to bear on O'Neill (5-0) and her Muay Thai foundation. Should be a close one, but the edge goes to O'Neill of Australia.

Joining the Main Card will be Ketlen Vierra (29) against Yana Kunitskaya (31). Vierra (10-1) missed weight which in most cases is a negative going into the Octagon. Kunitskaya (12-5-1) is a fierce striker that if her takedown defense is strong she could pull off the win. It's Brazilian versus Russian and the Russian, Kunitskaya gets the nod.

The Heavy Parlay:

Vanderaa (+195) / Aspinall (KO/ TKO -110) / Daukus (-170) / Lewis (+330). At the LAS minimum if all win the parlay calculator shows a nice 192.30usd which should give us a few pizza pie weekends.

The Stand and Bang Ladies Parlay:

O'Neill (-145) / Kunitskaya (+235). At the LAS minimum should bring us a nice pizza with all the toppings according to the parlay calculator, 28.31usd.

May all your tickets cash this weekend.
Cheers.

UFC 259.

A loaded card will go off at 3:15pm (early prelims), 6pm (prelims), and 8pm Main Card. Main card featuring three title fights is a PPV.

First up on the main in a title defense will be Petr Yan (28) of Russia against Aljamain Sterling (31) of USA. Both fighters are in their prime. Yan (15-1) is a striker with a strong take-down defense. Sterling (19-3) has BJJ as his foundation and will look to get this one to the ground. Yan's striking is superior in this weight class. Edge to Yan.

The Next title defense will be Amanda Nunes (32) of Brazil against Megan Anderson (31) of Australia. At six foot tall, Anderson (11-4) will have a height and reach advantage. She will have to keep the fight at a distance with her striking capability if she to have any chance against the women's GOAT, Nunes (20-4). Nunes will try to get in the pocket and fire away or get it to the ground. It will be a very intriguing fight. Looking for a major upset here, but will hedge in a second parlay.

The main event features Jan Blachowicz (38) of Poland against Nigerian born Israel Adesanya (31). Adesanya (20-0) is moving up a weight class in an attempt to wrestle a second title to his name. It will be a tough task against Blachowicz (27-8) who packs a powerful KO punch despite having a BJJ foundation. This one leans Polish Power, Jan Blachowicz.

In an early prelim fight two women square off in the exciting strawweight division. Livinha Souza (29) will fight against Amanda Lemos (33). Souza (14-2) has a strong BJJ foundation while Lemos (8-1-1) holds great striking acumen. This should be a close fight, but the lean for the parlay will be Lemos.

TITLE FIGHT PARLAY

Yan (-125) / Anderson (+600) / Blachowicz (+195) at the LAS minimum should yield us a nice 185.85usd according to the parlay calculator. Good enough for a nice meal at Gordon Ramsey's Steak at the Paris casino.

Stand and Bang Ladies Parlay

Lemos (-190) / Nunes (submission +165) at the LAS minimum should bring us to IN n Out Burger for 15.64usd according to the parlay calculator.

Also Taking Blachowicz by KO/TKO/DQ at (+385) at the LAS minimum for pizza, of course yielding 24.25usd according to parlay calculator.

Good luck and may all your tickets Cash!!

Fight of the night IMHO. Although probably not for long. Despite Anderson's height and reach advantage, Nunes will outstrike her two-to-one and will defeat her by KO or TKO - probably in two but I'll give it three rounds. Too bad, because I've liked Anderson against lesser fighters. But Nunes is pretty much unstoppable IMHO.

Hmmm

Anderson looked like she’s never fought before. Nunes is THAT good. Anderson didn’t move her head once, not good when you’re fighting an elite striker. On to the next victim for Nunez.

Yeah, first round - but by submission. I'd have lost that bet if I'd propped it by KO or TKO. Man, there are too many ways to bet MMA if you start betting HOW the fight will end in addition to WHEN the fight will end.

Just saw that the UFC announced the Zhang Weili vs. Rose Namajunas strawweight title fight has been slated for UFC 261 in April. I love Rose but Zhang is a freakin' beast. Two completely different styles. Quick, martial arts stylist versus the heavy hitting brawler. I can't wait for that fight.
