Buying the 4 and 10 strategy

Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

Buying the 4 and 10 strategy

Post by dave716aceduece » Thu Mar 11, 2021 3:19 pm

How do you guys feel about a $25 don't pass line with buying the 4 and 10 for $25 each after the point is established? After one hit on the 4 or 10 I like to come down and place inside (bar the point) for either 48 or 51, one hit and down. Anyone play anything similar, or advice for a similar style of play? Goal is to stick around the tables for a while, with the decent possibility of a small win

Sounds like One Hit - Can’t Miss - the 4 & 10 variant....

After the hit, I’d place the point for $25 and see if I’d get another hit.

Also after the comeout I’d lay odds to protect that second place bet buy.

How do you figure in the vig? Do you make the DP $27?

To be honest I've only been playing the flat $25... losing $2 each hand with no 4 or 10. Hm maybe I'll try the $27 Don't Pass to offset the vig thanks for the tip. Buying the 4/10 and the pass/don't pass are very low house edge, so I feel I can't really go wrong. Any way you cut it the house is going to get their juice out of you haha

?

How do you play it if the 4 or 10 is the point?

If the point travels to the 4 or 10 I play 18 each on the 6 and 8, first hit I add 20 in odds to my DP. From there I collect and press every other hit

I like putting the odds on the DP right away, then taking them off after the first hit on the 6 or 8.

I think I would also bump the Lay odds to $50 and Buy the sister for $25 Then after the first hit remove $30 of the odds, after the second pull the rest
