INTERVIEW OF HEAVY/DARTH NADER ON U TUBE

Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

INTERVIEW OF HEAVY/DARTH NADER ON U TUBE

Post by kumar » Sun Mar 28, 2021 4:13 am

This video was created by David Carlin .Worth watching, much to be learnt. Some key points :
Heavy always goes to a casino with a game plan.If plan is not working takes a long break.I had a friend who would always take a 4 hour break. Not realistic to expect a plan to work every time. This way one keeps losses small and wins big.Its all about capital preservation.
In the game plan one should have a place for dark side play.Even though the video does not get into detail who best to explain when to play right side and when to play dark side than Darth Nader.I would push him to create a post on this subject. He is primarily a dark side player yet this week hit the ATS.What made him switch?

Plan your play - play your plan. Simple enough. If I plan to play the Don'ts I go to the casino and look for a table where all of the players have long faces and empty racks. If I'm going to play the right side I look for full racks and happy faces. That's a good way to start. Before buying in observe the game for a few minutes. Are players hitting a lot of sixes and eights, or is nine the number of the day. Although the math of the game doesn't support streaking numbers - the fact is streaks happen, and when they happen you should attempt to capitalize on them in hope that they continue. If I come across a table with an inordinate number of nines showing I'm going to bet the nine every time. Hell, I may even hop the damn nine. But if I come across a table where every shooter is tossing two or three numbers and out then I'm going to jump on the Dark Side.

As for Darth Nater's play - Nate tends to start all unknown players on the Don'ts. He hits those ATS wins on his own shooting because of his confidence level in his shooting skills, the amount of time he puts in practicing with BoneTracker verification of his edge on specific numbers, and his experience on specific tables he plays regularly in Vegas.

BTW, Nate and I looked pretty damn sharp in those Hawaiian shirts. People kept asking if we were trying to get jobs working in the pit at the Cal. LOL.

Kumar,
Glad you liked the video and found it helpful.

Heavy summed up my general approach pretty well. Let me take it up a level... Generally I want to target tables that I’m familiar with (more on that in a bit). Then I want one of the positions at the table where I have been practicing that distance at home or I’ve had good prior results. Then I wait my turn to shoot by Darksiding each shooter before me in a variety of approaches.

Since reopening I’m shooting 90% from the PL. Basically with six players, I get the dice more. If I’m out of position I will shoot from the DP and might only bet the DP and the ATS.

I keep table notes where I play. They are very similar to what BankerDude wrote about last year; in fact I reordered my notes a bit because I thought his approach was helpful.
I got to where I knew what worked best, set wise on certain tables, with that knowledge I built attack plans. That was working well until ‘rona shut down the town and when we got rolling again in June, some of my favorite places (like the Palms) stayed closed or put up repressive plexiglass ( like Fremont and Gold Coast). So I adapted plans. Now to compound things all the MGM and Caesar’s properties are installing new layouts which flushes a lot of old research (like Bellagio, sigh) down the tubes.

So while I plan , I also have to “research” the new conditions which is always part of my long term plans but something I’m doing a lot more lately.

BTW as Heavy said, I like the ATS a lot and feel with the right practice and attack plan that the ATS is a juicy opportunity for a DI, which you can read about in the ATS threads here on the Forum. Recently I’ve been leveraging my use of the Coaster Chart to employ specific sets to target specific numbers to make more ATS hits. I also tend to concentrate on tables with the ATS and usually put those tables on the forefront of my planning

Hope this helps, DN8R

Heavy and Darth, that was a great video. I did not see it live but that was jam packed with great information and guidance. Considering that just today I got my second Covid Distemper shot, I am getting excited about getting back to Las Vegas.

Also, Nate, after the computer discussion I decided that I am going to buy a PC for my cellar where I practice tossing. I am a MacBook Pro user, but your discussion of the Excel macros and their detailed complexity convinced me to get ready for the beta version you and Mark have been working on. I will dedicate it just for Bonetracker and that will work perfectly for direct input of tosses.

Thank you guys for keeping Craps alive through this doggone challenging plague with your training, APC forum, and the video.

Skasower,
Thanks for the kind comments and I’m pleased you found the video helpful.

I think you’ll find a PC worth the investment, as I sure did. I don’t even use the MacBook any more as even with virtualbox the excel was just too clunky. A couple of ATS’es and it’s paid for lol. One tidbit, don’t scrimp on memory or speed and now most come with a solid state drive which helps reliability.

The new Bonetracker Extended is about double the size of the current BT mainly due to the expansion to 1440 tosses and their 24 transposes

Much of the Beta version uses two new macros I put together along with a large expansion of the macro that drives the RBS tab. Those won’t run on a Mac and I’m not proficient in Mac to know how to do it anyway.

Hope you can make it to Vegas soon, be seeing you, DN8R

I'm not a Mac guy either and if I were to put any energy into a port of BT to some other platform, it would be to google sheets first before Mac. A google sheets port would run anywhere.

But that effort is not on any radar so won't be happening any time soon.
