Superstitions/Signs on a Table

Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

I have two. If I'm shooting and have 2 tosses in a row that are a double pitch or both die off axis I reduce my action. Example. I'm currently using the 3/3 6/2 set quite a bit and two, ace dueces, or yo's in a row is an easy to see trigger that something is off in my toss.

The second one is if someone tosses a bet out for the shooter that the shooter wouldn't normally make. Example. A few trips ago I saw a guy toss out a hundred dollar hard eight for a shooter who never bets over $12.00 on anything. I turned everything off. Next roll was a seven. I have never seen a shooter make a big bet that someone else has tossed out for them.

L S: If the shooter is not aware of the bet, no harm, no foul. If he is, good move.

If the shooter isn't aware, the chances are good I didn't see it either. In the case of the hundred dollar hard eight guy, he made sure everyone within 25 feet of the table knew he'd made a hundred dollar hard eight bet for the shooter.

What about a whole bunch of people seeing something they don't like, turn their bets off which is noticed by the sooter who then interrupts his/her rhythm, maybe even tightens up or changes their toss somehow and the inevitable arrives .....

An argument breaking out between a player and a dealer is usually a good reason to call the bets off.

Bump. Like someone bumps into the shooter.
