Great post N8. That's pretty much how I approach the ATS as well, although I rarely bet it on the randies.DarthNater wrote: ↑Sat Jan 30, 2021 1:39 am I guess I’ll throw the monkey wrench into the flames here.
I think with the right GAME PLAN the ATS is a strong play. First realize that sides (aka the Small or the Tall) are always more prevalent than the All.
Next realize there are three discernible groups to decide to bet: you as the shooter, other DIs, and the army of flingers. First I always bet the full ATS on me, if it’s a table I know my way around, I’ll even bet more. I keep track and play it as a progression; naturally the sides increase faster than the All - that’s ok. Secondly, for other DIs - I bet it, if I know the DIs ATS history and/or I know you actively target the ATS - I bet more. Thirdly for the flingers & rhythm rollers, I might selectively bet minimum sides or all three bets, especially if I think the table is warm ( i.e. folks seem like they are having a lot of 8+ tosses).
I keep track of all three cases; running totals of risk and reward in a spreadsheet can be enlightening. Frankly, it’s been better since the ‘rona, as now with a max of six players per table the chances are better; as being there with another DI means there’s a max of four flingers ( and one of the four always seems to pass the dice) so a $1 Tall and Small is not a drain for me.
So make a plan, treat the ATS tactically, while also knowing your go to sets for the “last” numbers.

Those bets are on all tables crapless and the tub, to my dismay, the tub was the only one open midweek. Really sucked, as i thought i could give that extreme bet a go on a regular table .... i found myself at other places laying a box number twice to lock up some wins on small or tall ... laid a 9 for $600 and i laid a 4 for $400, i hit the five which was ok as i hit the all... sevened before i hit the 4 ... which locked up 200.
If your gonna color up, there needs to be paint on the brush.

Well lets see... 30/1 for small or tall ..... 150/1 on all .....Parson wrote: ↑Sat Jan 30, 2021 10:25 amThose bets are on all tables crapless and the tub, to my dismay, the tub was the only one open midweek. 70 to One on extreme only ....
12 to One on box numbers, i dont know the house edge .... no idea. And remeber i was only on the Tub.... i started out with $5 on each bet.... decided that i could hit enough box numbers to make the $60 win, so i opted to shoot for the boxes and let the $700 win happen if it did .... it did not on the tub. If that best was a crapless in tunica, id put $5 on it for every player, there are some folks there that live on extreme numbers..

This had me scrambling to open BT files for the tub. Added a tab for best Horn/SRR. Found a few near 8SRR + 20%+ horn numbers. Worth a trip out there if I can get SR. Your set Parson, works rather well, horn%, on most of my files, but mediocre at SRR.

LOL So true......
I cut my craps teeth on the Casino Royale tub with Deadcat and Soft Touch. So love me some tub action and will go seek it out next month in Biloxi. Find the toss and the LZ then go after the bonuses
Tubs can be tricky, I remember the one at the Wynn pool, like a printing press as the bikini clad stick/dealer did not know you had to hit the back wall. The one at the Nugget downtown has not been conquered by me yet, but ‘rona has shut it down; fortunately the candy store is still open.

Find your highest SRR set and go to the Coaster Chart. There you will find multiple crossed sixes sets with matching faces to your set, put those in your BT and see which pumps out the horns. Then slice it finer, find the set that does most 2s, 3s, 11s, and 12s. In many cases you will find the same set will produce 2 of the 4 horns. Test drive it.
Depending on your one die off data you may find a horn set producing greater than 25% - that’s a keeper. You will also find the Coaster Chart column sets will have multiple sets for 2s and 12s with different secondary results so study carefully as while you’re shooting for 2s know what the most frequent box number is. An example....last month I only needed a Yo for the All, so went to my Yo sets... I have two that are equal Yo-wise, but one gives a lot of eights and one gives a lot of fives. Since my 8 was already at $90 I went with the Yo set who’s secondary high frequency was 8. The next seven tosses I got three eights, no Yo; then made the point and switched to the five rich yo set. Alas no Yo that day, but more fives and eights.
That’s how I like to attack the ATS, data is power
