I think casino management is more than comfortable with bad behavior between players that becomes disruptive to the game. Disruption is their friend.Bankerdude80 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 10, 2022 6:49 pm
Society has embraced the culture of entitlement. It's very narcissistic. Casino management seems apathetic or they do not want to cause a scene and offend the latest "victim". This is an inevitable sign of a decaying civil society. We can only rise above it. I can't make people act a certain way when they do not want to.
When an energy draining event happens it is almost always in the casino's favor. Case in point today, someone hit the Small in like 8 rolls and the payouts took forever. Seeing this, I bumped my lay odds on the 10 from $20 to $80, the guy next to me saw this move and tossed out a $50 come bet, as his no Four had died earlier. Then as the stick called no more bets, he got tapped for a stick change, so he pulled the dice back to the center, handed the stick to the tapping replacement who took it. Just then a guy pushes in next to the shooter and tosses two crumpled $5 bills on to the Field as the stickman is pushing the dice to the shooter. Stickman pushes the two bills back to the wall, saying "No Bet". The guy starts whining "how come". The shooter decides to toss while all this was going on. Anyone care to guess what the toss was? Yep, the Devil. The guy next to me (with the $50 come bet) says to me "guess we should have gone all in on that crazy sh*@.
So while we won, the other 8 people all went down. Then they give Mr. Field Disruptor two red chips and the next shooter tosses a 6, he fades away.
We need to manage this crap so that it doesn't manage us.
Last week I was playing when someone wanted to do an electronic marker for $25,000. Now he did this after I made my point, which was respectful, but he could not get the machine to take his PIN. Meanwhile the dealer had counted out the $25,000 in the Come box in front of me. They pushed me the dice, I said to the Boxman very casually "maybe we should wait for the gentleman to finish his transaction, what do you think?" He said "sure if you don't mind". Finally after 5-10 minutes the guy walked away and I had the dealer pick up the come box. This was necessary as I had 4 out of 5 on both ATS sides complete, and only needed a 3 & 11 for the All; which I had a set ready to go. Three tosses later, marker guy was back, and we stopped everything again. He got his $25,000. Put a yellow on the Line and $5000 across. Eight tosses later, I never made that 3 or 11, only two tens, a four and a couple of 12s. But we all made money. Later at the cage, another guy who was $25/25/25 on the ATS, told me he really appreciated that I had waited as he'd seen numerous guys try and play thru that kinda sh*@. I said "I used to be one of those guys, that would try and power thru - that never ends well".
Unfortunately bad behavior is here to stay, as BD said its the decay of society, DN8R
