It’s easy. Go to the book, find the game on the big board, get the book’s number for Dallas, walk up to the window and tell the writer the number and the amount you want to bet. Most of these games are -110, which means you lay $110 to win $100.

I go to the window and say $22 on Dallas giving the points, they’ll type it up and go over it with you. $22 pays $20, for a total of $42 if you win

Thanks for this Nate from another sports betting noob. I might still jump on this bandwagon yet and take it out for a spin. I need to go RI to place any bets, as MA is (not surprisingly) way behind the curve on sports betting.
