Do any of you from time to time play the dont pass specially on random shooters? If yes:
-How many times odds do you take?
-Do you also have one dont come bet?
-Do you hedge your dont pass bet in case the shooter has a decent roll by placing the other numbers; If yes does the total amount of the place bets equal the dont come bet with odds?
-Under what table conditions do you play the dont pass?

I chart shooters and make future betting decisions based on their past performance - even if it's based on only one turn around the table. Table minimum DP. Lay $30 odds.

Skip their 1st pass. Bet DP on the second, maritingale the third, if they whack u then, u r done with that shooter, wait for the next & repeat.

Contrary to Heavy, MP, and everyone else's preaching, I bet every player. Min DP, and 1 DC. I'll lay 2 unit odds on the 4 or 10, but none of the other numbers. As my session money increases I occassionally played a second DC. If both get knocked off, I may try one more DP on a come out, or just wait until the next shooter.
When it's my shot, if I'm NOT at SR1, I shoot from the Don'ts. Only shoot PL from SR1.
This week saw my first sessions in nearly 2 years. I'll toss out Monday because I got off track with my Lay strategy, and it killed me. My basic bet play seemed to work fine. For the other 3 sessions, about 8 hours of play, I finished +30 units.
There's a lot to be said about how a table 'feels', though. Friday night I played the first table for about 10 minutes, it seemed to playing hot, and the vibe seemed off. Felt like the crew wasn't really 'with it', so I grabbed my chips and headed off to the other table. Other table was flowing right along, and I settled right in.
<shrug> That's how it is for me. It works, and I usually walk away on the plus side.
