Does anyone play video poker? A fellow co-worker told me his brother-in-law brought software strategy on video poker. His bro-in-law practice with it. Now he is up 70k from playing video poker from what my co-worker tells me.

VP is my timeout game when taking a break. You can win if you have the discipline to leave when up and find generous games. Not too many here in Illinois. I hope BC talks about his big win.

UNHH!!BC now splits the time 60-40 in favor of multi-liners vs other VP; but that means he surveys all other VPs. The M.O. is still developing. Two W2s this year, with one trip left. UNHH!!Last week a first ever diamond Royal, which was a first W2 on a multi-liner. All the tricks in JPs book are needed.
Note any smiley sends BC to some other page.

I was dabbling at a one cent ---fifty play ----Bonus Poker machine at Paris Casino and hit a Royal Flush I think I won 250 pennies since I was playing one hand for one penny while waiting for Gail . It is amazing how many Royals I have hit over the years playing a penny or a nickle on a hand.
Gail on the other hand hit a Royal at Ballys Las Vegas playing a Double Bonus (8/5) VP machine. Now when she hits a Royal she makes money because she plays max on a 25 cent or a dollar machine.
If you are serious at playing VP , you must have a big bankroll and have got to seek out the full play machines . If you don`t have or do both of those things , your better off being a dabbler like me.

Black Cloud, Of all the video pokers, jack or better,2 wild, ect witch is the best to play? Plus what should one bet? Is it best to bet max? How much should one bring? I heard it doesnt matter how much you bet, the game it random. If you follow Singer, he claim the game isn't random. He on youtube. Teach us master.

UNHH!!Regardless of pay scale or game you want a machine that pays
UNHH!!JP did not cover multi-liners ; but all of his ideas still apply. UNHH!!They want you to bet all lines; that ain't the way to play;but a progressive upity steps can work

who is JP? Hey bc, when are you comming out with a video? Another question, I been studying singer, since it is a program, do you believe in hot and cold cycles of a machine? Singer states when your in a cold cycle bet min and increase when it starts to get hot. I had a friend, tell me his machine was paying off and when somebody hit a royal in his shot bank. Everyone complain the machine went cold. Law states they must be random, but since it is a program. who knows?

UNHH!!John Patrick. What you call cold, BC calls it the 4 Q 2 mode; say it real fast

I've got a fair amount of VP experience. 28 Royals at last count. I've met and played with Singer. Although his claims fly in the face of what all the VP experts teach, he is right about a few things. The games aren't exactly "random" nor do they have to be. They have to be "fair" in their distribution of outcomes. After you have played many hours of VP you will see some patterns that aren't just your imagination. That being said, I wouldn't take advice from Singer or Patrick without first engaging your critical thinking cap.
One bit of advice I would give is don't play less than "Max Coin." If 5 Quarters is too big a bet, drop down to nickels or dimes. The reason is that the % Return tables mean absolutely nothing without the royal flush (or other bonus pay outs) being paid at the higher level. For instance at 1 coin bet, a RF is paid 250 for 1 but at 5 coins in it pays 4,000 which is much more than 5X 250 (it's 800 to 1) . The pay tables that say "99% return drop way off without that RF jackpot beign available by playing less than full coin. (They lose about 1.5% which might not sound like a lot but it brings the game into slot machine territory. It also removes the big jackpot opportunity which is part of the games' appeal.)
If you want to bet less when the machine "runs cold" and more when it is "hot" choose a multi denomination game and switch between denominations but keep the NUMBER of coins bet at max. Max is usually 5 coins, but some machines it is 10 or more. Just be sure your bet is enough coin to trigger the bonus pays).
The Wizard of Odds offers free VP tutorials that tell you when you make a lower EV choice and let you try again until you get it right. WHATEVER practice program you use, be SURE the pay tables match the game that you expect to play in the casino. JoB practice programs usually offer the same pay schedules as casinos but Bonus Poker games have pay schedules that are all over the map and this can cause problems if the tutorial gives advice based on a different pay schedule than the live game you play.

UNHH!!Max coin is the way the casino wants you to play. N E V E R play any game the way the casino wants you to play
UNHH!!For BC's money the "wiz" is just another math freak hung up on a flawed basic strategy that the math boyz DID NOT INVENT
UNHHH!!For those who have asked, any publication would allow the casinos to eliminate what BC uses.
UNHH!!Like E. O. Thorp exposing the BS and counting to the casinos; and he was asked not to publish the book

Black Cloud,
If I understand you correctly, you are saying do not play Max Coins on a VP games.
if I am correct on the above, and I wanted to follow your approach, I would have the option of play between 1 and 4 coins.
Could you tell me what my choice would be, and give me explanation of your thought process as to why you made tha choice?
Thanks.
Noah

UNHH!!Start at the bottom and work your way up; when you encounter the 4-Q-2 mode leave it.

BC, if I knew what "4Q2" mode means, 4 quarters maybe, I would know what you recommend, but you failed to tell me why you made that choice.
