In Ceasers how do they calculate Tier points? Tier points determine the card status. Is there a way to maximize the tier points? I need 18,000 tier point to get to Seven Sea. Please help

As I recall, one tier point is earned for every $5 you bet. To earn 18,000 points you'll need to wager $90,000. Don't freak. It's easier than you think. Most of these properties offer bonus points - say 3X points - for play on certain days. Make sure you're getting the bonus points for your table play as many times bonus points are for machine players only.

There are ways to juke the system a bit. If you have a "partner" to play with you could make simultaneous bets on the Pass and Don't Pass at craps - or Red/Black at Roulette - and qualify relatively quickly with small exposure. Statistically it'll cost you around $1300 to make the bets, but 180 decisions at $500 on the Pass and $500 on the DP should do it.

You might also corner your host and ask simply "What's a guy gotta do to get to Seven Stars around here? I think I've given you more than enough play." You never know. You might bluff your way in the back door.

In the past Jean Scott (Frugal something or other) who has a blog on the Las Vegas Advisor site listed properties that had multiple point deals at year end. Seems like last year it was Laughlin. Of course it was through slots though. The Total Rewards site explains exactly how points are earned for slot and VP play coin in. My experience with table games was you just never know what you will get.

Total Rewards To Change Tier Levels Jan 1, 2013
[th]Level[/th] [th]Current[/th] [th]New[/th] [th]Change %[/th]

[th]Gold[/th] 0 0 -- 0%

[th]Platinum[/th] 4,000 5,000 +1,000 25%

[th]Diamond[/th] 11,000 15,000 +4,000 36%

[th]Seven Stars[/th] 100,000 120,000 +20,000 20%
These new level requirements probably mean that the 3,000 point Diamond in a Day probably expands as well. We can surmise that margin change is directly proportional to the change in Diamond status - roughly 36%, rounded to 1000 tier credits.

To earn Reward Credits, use your Total Rewards card the entire time you play at any Total Rewards location. You will earn 1 Tier Credit for each $5 you play on reel machines and $10 for video poker. Bonus Reward Credits are extra comps that may be awarded determined by your play throughout the day and are based on type of game, length of play and average bet. Watch the reader on the machine to see your Credits adding up.

For table play, be sure to hand your Total Rewards card to the dealer or pit supervisor as soon as you sit down to play and ask to be rated. Both Tier Credits and Bonus Reward Credits are earned based on length of play, average bet and type of game.

For entertainment purchases, you’ll earn 1 Reward Credit for every $1 you spend and for every 5th dollar you will earn a Tier Credit.
For more information, visit the Total Rewards section of the site or stop by a Total Rewards Center located in any of our casinos to get all the details.

Thanks for the info.

Just an FYI to the members here. If you are going to Vegas, Note that Jonah is the man who generally has his hand on the "pulse" of whats going on.

I play only a naked DP wager on the craps tables and so far this year at CET properties , I have received 8 tier credits per hour for each $5 unit that I have wagered.

Example: Playing for one hour making a DP wager of $25 , I will receive 40 tier credits for that hour of play. Also I get 40 cents in Reward Credits (comps) for that hour of play.

This is fairly standard for me at all the CET properties and this year I have played in Tunica, Metropolis, St. Louis, Biloxi, and Bossier City.

The above is not intended for CET criticism , but only in repling to the question submitted by aliquid.

supposedly it varies depending on how much you bet, what you bet, and how long you play.

I.e. a prop bet earns more tier than a pass line bet does and probably your odds bet earns no tier points.

Years ago before Harrahs , now CET , became computerized a pit critter was explaining to a come bettor that his come bet was being rated but his odds were not rated because the casino had no edge on the odds wager.

I was thinking , "So what? the odds bet lost just the same as the come bet after a point was established. " That`s when I realized that the odds wager is not a "magical" bet. It`s a good marketing gimmick, tied to the line bet for the casino. And playing a doey-dont even makes it worse.

I think Heavy posted an article about how to earn more tier credits while playing at the table; although we don't play for comps, it is nice to receive the extra incentives from time to time. This year was the first year I dedicated myself to advantage play and frequenting Vegas. I ended up racking quite a bit of tier credits through Harrahs, (I'm Diamond)....with that status came the junket flights to Laughlin, guaranteed comped nights, free play offers, 'packages', etc...

What I found most useful was simply asking the pit critter to give you a good rating. No matter how much you bet or buy-in for, just ask the pit to give you a little leeway...Ballys, Caesars, and Rio were the best places for upping your average bet. Often times I would be rated with an average bet of 250 at Ballys!
