Daily Wage

I know that the holy Grail does not exist. I would like to hear everybody's opinion on the best way to win 100 dollars per day most days. Lets say $500 buy in $200 stop loss and the session not to run over 3 hours

I will not buy anything from Benson. I bought 3 of his systems and returned all of them and he did right on the first2 but shafted me on the 3rd. They were nothing that I did not already have in my library just dressed up a little bit. I dont even remember what they entailed but I can gaurentee they would not do what he advertised them to do. I would be more interested in somebody's personal play that performs well for them. I do appreciate the book referances though. I like to read all I can about craps and have a pretty good library started. It is funny though my favorite is Beat The Casino by Frank Barstow which also happens to be the cheapest I ever bought.

Okie: Read up on how DF plays. Never shoots, one loss per shooter. Then read up on Professor H's play and progression. These are grinds. You must have patience out the wazoo. If you are wanting to develop your own system, you might start with MP's most excellent articles on "Dodging bullets on the Dark side, 1 & 2" and the associated articles. I have come to the conclusion that playing professionally would entail more dark side play than right side play unless all your wagering is on your own shooting. Here you gotta be on every day. Creating a system that has never been created before might be a challenge.

I have done the job bit. I dont have to work to survive any more. I already spend 3-7 months a year at the casinos in my 5th wheel. If I ever get to feeling as the majority of posts(not all) I read here I would never step foot in a casino. I have survived 8 years of heavy play and am very close to even maybe ahead if you consider comps. I think if every one would keep apositive attitude and help each other we might be surprised what happens, just my thoughts.

SIA got it right. A grind, most likely a darkside grind would be the surest method. DF loves being in the casino, around people and watching the pretty cocktail waitresses. He enjoys taking the time and does not mind or get hurt by long rolls. He does not make $100 per day but he is proof of discipline and the darkside.

Good Luck

I'll give you a hint. The longer you stay at the table the less chance you'll win. I know one forum member who makes six figures at the tables every year. He plays only in the high limit parlors and his typical session is under fifteen minutes. His usual routine is to walk in, toss one hand, pick up his winnings and leave.

Okie,

There is a long, interesting thread on this topic somewhere else on this site, but I don't recall the title. It has LOTS of board member opinions that may be what you are looking for.

In a nut shell, my 2-cents is this:

1. If you want to make $100 a day, get a job that pays enough to take home $100 a day. Seriously! I'm not being a smart ass. If you want to MAKE $100 a day, work is the surest shot you have at making your dream come true.

2. If you want to GAMBLE on making $100 a day gambling in casinos, your best chance is to stick with games that give the player an edge. But you must also have a huge bankroll that you are willing to risk for a shot at winning $100 a day.

3. There is not now, never has been, and never will be a betting system that can overcome the house edge. Save your money and add it to your bankroll.

4. If you want to play for entertainment, pick any game, toss in your money, and enjoy it. There are worse ways in life to spend your money.

Maybe someone else can chime in or steer you to the thread on this same topic.

Good luck!

Okie

I've only been playing this DI game for about a year now but it's long enough to tell you this; Little Joe nailed it, please listen to him. I don't know how long you've been playing this game but ask yourself this question......Since I've started playing am I ahead.... Do I have more money now in my bankroll than when I started? Be honest with yourself.

No system in the world can overcome the house in the long run. I enjoy this game we all play, I practice good money managment, min bets on RR's and practice my toss daily. I play the don'ts when a table is stone cold but on a consistant basis "grinding" is not my game. So, unless you are one of a select few you will be ground into casino dust thinking playing craps for a daily wage is realistic. Good luck.

Okay, I'll thumbnail it. Chart tables for a trend. Follow the trend - do's or don'ts. Consider DF's style of Don't play. Play a regression strategy on the right side. Increase your unit size. If you are the shooter - consider limiting yourself to one bet - Pass line with Odds. Keep your betting strategy as simple as possible. You mentioned you play Tunica, so you should have no problem finding a 10X or 20X odds game and available automatic buy bets on the outside numbers. I'd take all that into consideration when playing.

My daily win goal when I was playing almost full time in Shreveport/Bossier was $160. My in-casino time was almost always less than one hour. I rarely bet the right side on randy. Since I played regularly I knew the locals and who could should and who couldn't. Bet accordingly. And I focused on my primary numbers when I was shooting - playing an early steep regression followed by a 50% press play. Do your best to have your bets "off" at the appropriate times - after trash numbers - crapus interruptus, and after the come-out roll. When that little voice in your head says "I'm going to take one more hit - then take it down," don't wait. Take it down then.

Heavy, when you speak about having your bets off after a come-out roll, could you be more specific? Do you wait to place your number(s) until after a box number hit or something like that?

I realize that no matter how much you tell people this...99% of Craps players will NOT listen. In EVERY Craps session I have partaken in, I have told my tablemates (Free of Charge) to call OFF their bets for one roll when I 'feel" I'm about to 7-out mostly due to the above quote that Heavy so eloquently detailed. I would guesstimate that LESS than 1% follow my advice....Then they get upset when I continuously get paid on my "Hop 7" bet on my hands.

Nobody taught me this rule. I quickly realized that I kept on 7ing out after the same events and same Dice results time after time after time and decided to take action.

Even during my record 10 consecutive unintentional PSO's in a row last summer, I was hopping 7's on the first roll of my hand due to my proclivity to PSO...guess who was the only one to make a profit on those hands???

What's maddening is when I let one of my tablemates convince me that "I'm using selective memory" and leave my bets ON only to 7-out. Then the Casino personnel tells you...."Why in God's name were your bets ON?", "You've been doing the same thing here for YEARS, now you want to change what's been working for YOU???"

Find me a Craps Partner who can do the outside press bets on my hand like a madman so I can completely focus on my tossing and listen to me when I say "Turn your bets OFF" and we'll CONQUER the world!

I mostly play in Tunica. I just got back from 17 week trip to Tunica. I play 5-6 days a week while I am there and usually 30 minutes to 3 hours per session and 1 or 2 sessions a day

I used to "play" every other weekend (Atlantic City) for my initial 10 years playing Craps when I lived in the Northeast. I currently "work" in several different markets for a few days about once a month.

Maybe we can meet and work in Tunica sometime in the future. I actually live closer to Shreveport. I think a playing partner if you had like views could be a strong aide in winning maybe.

Horseshoe in Tunica still has 100x odds at their regular craps tables.

On the crapless table at HS they only allow 20x odds.

I made a fulltime income just betting the don'ts for six months. And, for the past 6 plus years I have made a fulltime income at the baccarat tables. If I were looking to make a daily wage at the dice tables then I would be playin the Pittsburgh Johnnie style. It ain't rocket science, baby, hey hey.

There are betting strategies that address the chop fairly well. Alternating between right side and wrong side bets in the same hand, for example. But mostly those are treading water strategies - you might win a little or lose a little but you're not really going to get hurt. If I'm on the wrong side of a swing - and it seems like that happens to me at least once a day when I'm playing the Don'ts - I stick with the old "lose three in a row - time to go" theme. No point in taking a deeper dive.
