A budget for the CASINO CRAPS PLAYER

Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

A budget for the CASINO CRAPS PLAYER

Post by wild child » Thu Oct 10, 2013 12:01 am

For the person who sees the once in 20 years visit to a casino with the same concern
as the entertainment of attending the church quarterly BINGO GAME or a Saturday Garage Sale , the word "budget " may or may not factor into their conversation.......

For those who take going to the casino as an event other than only " entertainment"
BUDGET becomes A MAJOR FACTOR........

Here the twin concepts of BUDGET and COMFORT ZONE become part of their tool box
or armor..........

The BUDGET for the SERIOUS PLAYER is an important factor in being HONEST with the self
when broaching the Win / Loss part of keeping score for THE SERIOUS PLAYER

THE SERIOUS PLAYER may also be known as a ADVANTAGE PLAYER

The Advantage Player is serious in attempting to hold a Perceived ADVANTAGE against THE HOUSE
in his specialized casino game,,,be it Video Poker...Black Jack ( 21 ) Craps or other games

The BODY CASINO scoffs at the concept of an honest player holding an advantage

Were we to go strictly by the mathematics , over the longest time span THE HOUSE has indeed
a staggering superiority.......The player at best may seemingly become a WINNER for short and fleeting moments............

A commonality to players enjoying an ADVANTAGE is the ability to rapidly take advantage of
the developing trends ( if indeed a trend actually exists) and the strength to avoid chasing
a series of losses to the extinction of the player's available funds.........

Travel, lodging , meals and beverages are much debated , addressed or excused to the tolerance level of each individual.........

Were we to call bets wagers then we could address the $ dollar value Wager Bank Roll and actual $ dollar value of each individual WAGER ( BET ) in relation to Budgeted BANK ROLL

The Bank Roll is made up of the $ sums of individual BUY IN(S)

Were we to establish that a dedicated BANK ROLL be made up of Five ( 5) Buy In(s)

A Buy In be made up of THIRTY (30 ) WAGERS / BETS

we have a guideline for placing some thought and planning to our betting

Also the $ dollars set aside specifically dictate the level of our COMFORT ZONE
and the amount $ we may place at RISK of LOSS.....

In the above example a DEDICATED CRAPS BANK ROLL of $3,750

Would support FIVE ( 5 ) BUY IN(s) of $750

Allowing for a WAGER $ of $25 x 30 from that BUY IN at a TYPICAL CRAPS TABLE
Could a player wager more ? certainly however at the risk of shortening the specific session.

Are there other guidelines for GAMBLING BUDGET....."You betcha " to quote Shara Palin

Also there are folks who bet their children's milk money .....that could be a plan also

P S: Some may wish to factor in learning their game and training aids
like a practice CRAPS TABLE

For what it's worth, when I was a kid in grade school a carton of milk cost two cents.

Good post, WC. Well thought out.

HI WC AND HEAVY,

Great post WC. and you too heavy. same here heavy, 2 cents when I was in grade school.

Don't faint heavy when I tell you the price of one carton of one gallon of milk is going for,
$7.98 and the stores can not sell it for less.

Question- Heavy, how much is one gallon of milk selling for down where you live.
