Bdalt system - anyone try this yet?

I'm relatively new to craps...used to play roulette, until I realized I wasn't really that smart, just lucky. I play baccarat now but it can get pretty boring...so, I'm onto craps and have played a bit live and online for fun. Most betting systems have a ton of people that have winning or losing experiences. The one system I found online is the bdalt system. The guy who came up with it just posted it about 10 years ago...but not a ton of follow up. Anyone seen or heard of this before or tried it out?
If no, I can try to find the link again and share.

That used to be on the old crapspit website. The guy who ran that site also runs starchip.com - a chip collectors website, and has a bunch of systems hosted there.

I think Jim the System Man had it as well.
As I recall, the guy who created it was named Bob Dalton or something close to that - hence the name. The particulars of the strategy are at the link I gave you.
I have not played the system, nor do I think it likely that I would. Admittedly, it has some interesting aspects. It's just not for me - primarily because I very seldom Come bet. Perhaps others will weigh in.

I just read the DBalt. Seems like a pretty reasonable way to play with low house edge bets. I don't think the casinos in Las Vegas use the Odds bet to rate your comps. I don't think this type of play in Vegas would do anything for a comp rating. Do they use the Odds bet to rate comps in other parts of the country? Also, might be hard to consistently find a 10X game in Vegas.
Overall, I thought this had promise but maybe not where I usually play. Does anyone see any modifications that might work well for 3X, 4X, 5X tables?
Thanks!

Thanks for the replies. It seems to me getting that hot roll is where the right side makes money, otherwise bet for the 7 to show.
Correct me if I'm wrong here...when playing the PL, limit losses while waiting for the hot roll...when playing the dark side, go a little stronger because the 7 will win big.
A lot of ways to play this game....I guess those that have a good sense of the flow of the game and aren't afraid to switch up the strategy have the best chance at leaving happy...

chuckmek - you're are on target IMHO. Of course, the official advice here is "the best bet on the random roller is no bet." However, I'm a long-time proponent of charting both shooters and table trends and betting appropriately. Yeah, I've heard all of the math-guy responses about the dice having no memory and the fact that there are no trends at craps. I guess if the dice were tossed totally randomly by a machine or something I might agree. However, whenever you introduce a human element I think a lot of that goes out the window. You'll often hears us talk about using early steep regressions to minimize exposure to the seven. I think that's good advice. Example - starting out with $30 each on the six and eight - taking one hit for $35 - taking the six and eight down then re-placing them with $18 each. That gives you $1 of sevens exposure on the next toss. One more hit on the six and eight and you're in fat city. Of course, regressions have to be tailored to your bankroll and sevens tolerance. As Little Joe noted, there's nothing wrong with doing a regression on the Free Odds bet (just as, IMHO, there's nothing wrong with doing a limited negative progression if you have the bankroll for it). The long run key to winning, though, is to evaluate just where you stand after every toss by every shooter and ask yourself "what move can I make now that will guarantee a win for this shooter?" Sometimes the answer is "nothing at this point." But at some point you can lock up a win - even if it means you say "take me down." And on the random shooter - most of the time that is going to be the best call.

I think it's "Bill" Dalton but I could be wrong. I've had some inquiries about writing an autobet file for his system and decided to give it a whirl. There are some things about it which are unknown such as how to handle wins and losses on the come-out, e.g. do they affect the odds regression and extra Come bet criteria, etc? Since the material I read doesn't mention these things, I have to assume that the odds regression and extra Come bet are based soley on winning and losing of bets established on points.
At any rate, I've posted a new BDalt auto-bet file (
http://www.cloudcitysoftware.com/bdalt.bet ) on my web site for those who are interested.

Very cool. I will give this a try as well. From what I am getting, all systems are pretty good depending on the situation and if you get a feel for the table and the flow, you could switch things up depending on the flow.
