I had a Dream

Well, after a Thanksgiving Dinner at a friend`s home and discussing my losing my Urologist to the bookwork and the government interference with my Doctor`s ability to treat patients (My Doc is going to work at UT Med School in Memphis as a Professor)---yeah, I discussed how great The Unaffordable Heathcare Act is---"We`ve got to Pass It , before we know what is in it", SHE said. --(That`s another thing a doctor said to me years ago as he handed me a bag and said, "S--t into this , we need a stool sample.")-----, a pretty little lady who had helped prepare the food, asked me about the game of craps. We talked of craps for quite a while, so much that I had a dream last night that Golfer and I were at the craps table somewhere and I was shooting the dice and ended up losing $89.
Holy Crap, I must be getting old , when I am dreaming about Golfer instead of the pretty little lady that I had been discussing the game of craps with.
"Hey , Gail! Bring me the gun with the one bullet in it. I`m committing suicide. Golfer was in one of my dreams."
Well, since Gail had an offer to play in a slot tourney this weekend and there is no FULLMFMOON (to use the local Tunica vernacular), we are off to Tunica for the weekend and I hope to be back with some bragging tales of great wins at the craps tables, so that pretty little lady that I was discussing craps with doesn`t think I was totally full of the Healthcare and pile of bulls--t, that I shat into that sack at the doctor`s office years ago.
Of course I directed her to this site , telling her about how smart and kind and courteous all of you guys and girls are . That you never talk about anything related to s--t.
I guess I shall wait until after this weekend to commit suicide . Gail could only find the gun that was fully loaded . The world has got to be comin` to an end , if I`m dreamin` about Golfer.
Oh, Golfer , Gail said "hi'.

I feel your pain
I slept soundly last night for a variety of reasons.
1. I am pure of soul and mind
2. As directed by our President, our Thanksgiving Dinner included discussion about healthcare. It is funny though DF, our discussions included references to a certain POS. Well actually several, all seemingly employed in gov't.
3. I knew I would play craps today
4. I was near comatose anyway from eating too much at dinner.
I just finished exercising and meditating and feel today is gonna be a good one. Unfortunately, my Wife has to work a 12 hour shift today. With all the kids graduated and working, she took a job at a dept. store as a clerk part time to earn some cash and get out of the house. They are nice and they give her a good employee discount so she can buy stuff cheaper. She is happy, even on weeks when she spends more than she earns. Anyway, today is payback and she is working 11 to 11.
So here I am off work with time on my hands. Wish I could beam down to Tunica and see you guys. I will beam instead to Joliet and try to gain some holiday cash via the darkside and my shooting.
Hop bets will be involved.
I hope all enjoyed the Holiday with Family and Friends.
DF, tell Gail I said "Hey" back to her. I got a feeling she might just do some damage to them today. You will probaly play for 6 hours, win the $89 back and yell COWTIPPIN 3 times
Oh, one more thing. Heavy posted about Grits selling his table. I used his e mail to send a message. He and Greens are doing good. No casino for 3 years but he is having tons of fun with his Grandchildren (sorta like you). It was good to hear from him. For the newer members here, Grits (really Steve) was a regular on the boards with all of us old farts years ago. There was another local named Steve here in Chicago so to avoid further confusion Heavy gave Steve and his wife the nicknames Grits & Greens. The names stuck. Steve was a carpenter and drywall king and built that table that is for sale. I'd buy it in a heartbeat if the Wife would let me. Steve and Greens played a lot and taught some too. He played dark frequently. Anyway, that's the story and I am sticking to it.
For all thse playing today.........let's git some !!!!!!

Dang , Golfer. I mentioned to Gail that you go to New Orleans every once in a while to see your daughter and now she is trying to get a trip arranged for us to go down there on the City of New Orleans (Amtrak) in January. I may just sit in the Club Car and smoke big cigars and drink Cognac , acting like a bigshot on the way down.
"Who killed , Davey Moore? Who are we lookin` for?
"Not me", said the gamblin` man, with the big cigar in his hand.
"Not me", I ain`t your man at all."

And from the late great Man in Black:
I bet there's rich folk eatin' in a fancy dining car.
They're prob'ly drinkin' coffee and smokin' big cigars,
But I know I had it comin', I know I can't be free,
But those people keep a movin', and that's what tortures me.

Well, if we're going to quote songs - particularly songs by the likes of a socialist like Dylan (sorry about that, DF - it is what it is) then you have to go back a few years before Dylan and talk about Joe Hill. Before Hill was executed in Utah for murder he composed his last will, which was later set to music.
My will is easy to decide,
For there is nothing to divide.
My kin don't need to fuss and moan,
"Moss does not cling to a rolling stone."
My body? Oh, if I could choose
I would to ashes it reduce,
And let the merry breezes blow,
My dust to where some flowers grow.
Perhaps some fading flower then
Would come to life and bloom again.
This is my Last and final Will.
Good Luck to All of you,
Joe Hill

The Black Friday session was interesting but an overall loser. Went to the 2nd table as SR1 was open and only 2 other players at the $5 game. Bought in and as I was racking the chips the stick told me I could have them if I wanted them. Wow, ok I'll try. Bet a $5 fire bet with $1 for the crew (hey you never know), a $5 world and a $3 hop bet on the red. 1st toss 7. Cool. press the red to $6 and add $2 hi-low. 2nd roll 7. Yes ! Push the red to $5 each press the World to $10 and return on the hi-low. 3rd toss 7. Ok, this probably isn't going to continue so to get out of the gate good I take $80 and down on the red and leave only the World. 4th toss 1-2. Press the world to $15 and put the reds back up to $3 each (hey you never know). 5th toss is an 8. Make 3 more tosses and 7 out. Shit.
OK now what? Go dark. Couple of more players and then more and the chop takes the life out of the game, and me and the rightsiders are losing. Finally pull the plug down 75% and take a walk.
Put a $20 in a VP and play for awhile winning $16. Walk back by the pit and see SL1 open and buy in again. Start off dark and get whacked. My shooting sucked and the 2nd time with the dice went dark and won shooting. Dug my heels in and started to play just a DP with an occasional DC and an occasional field and hopper on the 7's. Got in the darkside flow and made a comeback. Best series was getting up with increased flats & odds on the DP and 2 DC's 9 & 10. Played a $5 field and the shooter hit a 12. Took $10 and tossed it to the stick for 9 & 1, which is $9 hopping on the red and a $1 dealer red. Pretty 7 out helps the cause.
All of a sudden the table warms up. I get whacked 3 straight times and decide the ship has sailed. Ended up losing $60 for the day, which was a moral victory. Came home and took a nap. Thought about playing yesterday but didn't. Maybe next weekend.
DF, hope you guys did better.

Well I decided to play small ball at the Casinos and limited my loss limit to a Seven-Step Negative Progression with a $75 loss limit : 5 5 5 11 12 16 21
Should the second step win I would go back to step one ($5) After the second step, each win would be parlayed (Cowtippin`). With a $75 loss limit , I would be risking less than 1% of my Total Gambling Bankroll.
I played 4 sessions and had three winners : $109, $49, $86 , and one losing session $70.
The Total Gambling Bankroll increased by $174. Thank goodness, there was not a full moon
Using only a Seven Step Negression was scary because of two less steps in my usual 9 step series. But the smaller $70 loss limit kept my mind clear and I was loose as a goose.
One of the dealers freaked out when I bought in for only $100. And was laffin` when I made a $5 DP wager. I told him since Sept my bankroll was down about a thousand dollars and it didn`t bother me to drop down to a $5 beginning wager from a $25 beginning wager.
Gail even freaked out when she saw me betting $5. I told them all, "I`m from Arkansas, I ain`t proud!"
I looked on the computer to see how many comp dollars and tier credits I received for this minimal play and received about the same risking $70 as I got when risking $540. I just don`t understand the comp credits rating system.
With Christmas on the way , I doubt that we will be back to Tunica until New Years. I hate New Years Eve at the casinos but Gail loves it . She is more of a party animal than I am.

wow only one loss on a 7 step. You never stay on a shooter after a loss correct- so how long were those winning sessions?
I got a 9 and 12 step DF cowtippin coded in wincraps which is still new to me so still finding my way.

$109 2.5 hours
$ 49 1.25 hrs
$ 86 2.0 hrs
-$70 .5 hrs
Seven Steps are scary, but the loss limit is small when you start out with a $5 wager. I am not an action junky so playing small is all right with me. I do limit myself to one loss per shooter.
Everybody wants to see how I play in the casino and when they do, they are not sure I am playing craps, since I stand with no wager on the felt most of the time.
At the losing session , I bought in and lost seven straight wagers , mostly to come out naturals and to points of 4 or 10, on a very cold table. I don`t pay much attention to whether a table is hot or cold when I buy in . I just play.
As I tell a lot of my friends , I am a sorry excuse for a craps player.
Back to the comp deal : I received 46 cents per hour in food comps at HS and Harrahs (both CET), and $3.32 per hour at GS (MGM property).
Gail just informed me that she won $100 in free play during a slot tournament she played in at GS Sat and yesterday so we must go back to Tunica within two weeks for her to play that before it expires.
We have stayed overnight in casinos 31 times so far this year. Eaten over 100 X 2 meals either using coupons or comps. We seldom go to the casinos anymore unless we spend the night . When I quit working , I am going to quit driving , also. I hate driving!!!!!!!!! Since we have been married (1966) don`t laff, I may have driven the car 30 or 40 times when Gail has been in it. She always does the driving , I am just a tourist.
When the dealers ask me why I play the way I do (a DP wager) , all the time , no matter whether I win or lose , I tell them , "Because that`s the way my wife told me to play."
