Gonna try the umbrella strategy...kind of

I got vacation this week so I will be going to Vegas and will be trying my luck at the craps table. From the monthly newsletter, I saw it mentioned the umbrella strategy or anything but 7. I will give it a try, I have practiced it on the simulator for 100 rolls and I have yet to have it go sour, the win is not that great but small winnings become big winnings, I will be in Vegas the entire week so I will do my fair share of sessions. I will post here how it goes. Hopefully some winning stories will follow.

i didn't see the newsletter mention this but I think this is how I am supposed to be playing this strategy, you dont bet the passline or the dont pass line unless you are the shooter. I will be doing pass line bets just when it comes time for me to shoot as I do like shooting and you need a bet on the pass line/dont pass to shoot will be taking x2 odds.

I will also do a full press after any place bets hits (5,6,8). bets will always be ON, winning bets stay.

Okay, if you're going to do a full press after any place bets hit when are you going to lock up any profit? $10 five goes to $20 - then $40 - then $80 . . .

Don't forget to take in consideration which number is the established point. If it's the five, six or eight then you do not need to place those numbers.

Your place bets should be larger than your Field bets, so think $34 in place bets with $5 in the Field. Or $66 on the place bets and $10 in the field, etc.

I would not leave that kind of action out there for long. Take a couple of hits, regress to a logical wager on the six and eight plus your pass line and odds bet and then play up and out from there - but only after locking up a profit.

Only doing full press once. Also the come out roll will be just like any roll since i wont be doing passline on other shooters and bets are always on, i will keep it in mind for when im the shooter. Thanks for advice.

Here is a Twist on the Iron Cross
.
There are a number of strategies to hedge wager the PASS LINE (P/L)
and that philosophy has been covered and chewed in other strategies and methodologies
so my preference is to give others the opportunity to express their experience and thoughts
.
However
,
.
Any WAGERING METHODOLOGY could blow up...so definitely, try this at home and repeat the exercise many times so as to gain confidence of so doing smoothly.......
.
Remember, you will give this a go ONLY one or two rolls of the dice
...PER SHOOTER..(REGARDLESS OF NUMBER OF ROLLS tossed after YOUR HALT LIMIT)
.
A) Place the SIX and Eight each for $30
.
B) Most PLACE WAGER $25 on the FIVE (5)
.
..b-1)HOP BET THE FIVE (5) for $10
.
C) Place $15 in the FIELD
.
D)* Make a Don't COME ( D/C ) wager( or two ) of $5*
...............................................................
.
{ THIS PART TAKES IRON WILLED DISCIPLINE }

**Resolve to maintain only placing this wager for one or two rolls of the dice**

.
.....* The resolve to gofor only one or two rolls of the die remains even if you are the shooter
.......and/or if you wager on another...........*
<>
a suggestion..
Limit your amount of time exposed to loss of BUY IN and bring it back in several sessions.
Carefully work out the mathematics prior to increasing your BUY IN and DOLLARS AT RISK OF LOSS

Just me saying

W C
....
POST SCRIPT

....The ENTIRE Iron Cross IS SUBJECT to be lost to an ill timed, inconvenient, early SEVEN OUT
......Thus it shares commonality with other GLOBAL WAGER METHODOLOGIES

.....There have been occasions when THE SHOOTER has TOSSED THE 7 early enough to give up a few BONUS BUCKS from the D/C WAGER(S)............
.....
Conversely there have been several prolonged rolls continuing long past the DON'T COME
WAGER(S) numbers repeating....The choice to place, newly won $, at risk of loss ..is very much
an individual choice....Continue winning and you feel like a hero.......get drawn in and lose
it back( and even more $) and stumble away feeling like a ZERO.......
.
BOTTOM LINE....YOU PLAYS YOUR $ MONEY AND YOU TAKES YOUR CHANCES..........

My damage report, I actually won a sad $120 dlls on this umbrella strategy lol. It almost felt like I was hustling for my money at the table, I was constantly getting $14 for my place bets but loosing $10 for my field bet. I made some money because there was a few aces and twelves so it paid double and triple on the field. I only did 1 session at the Downtown Grand for a small buy in of $200 so I quit as soon as I made half my buyin. After this I placed third in a slot tournament for $750 in free play, got $605 out of it. Then I hit a poker jackpot on a machine at Mirage and decided to stop my gambling since my win was good. On a side note a friend gave me $300 to try this strategy in a casino at Freemont, I have had more than a fair share of drinks, so it was NOT a good idea for him to do this, I lost his money in like 5 minutes
