I pressed too hard, I didn't press hard enough

Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

We craps players are never happy it seems.

There is much "if only" speculation once the result of a hand is known.

Is this an important part of post-session analysis in considering how we may do things better next time, or can the endless hindsight conclusions dangerously push us in a direction where we are never fully satisfied with our time at the tables?

The primordial drive to try again, or do again is what makes the human race successful. It also is what weighs us down. The greatest achievements mostly are the 2nd, 3rd, 50th, 1000th trial of something. People fail and try again.

The achievers are not happy with non-success and are not satisfied with just good results. They want more and more better.

Criminals, drug users, etc. also work on a similar vein. I got high but if I could have had one more toke it would have been a better high. If I had more time I could have stolen more.

Is it any wonder craps players are like that? You could have a 2 hour hand and when the 7 came there might be applause, but first there are going to be many more damn its and ahhhhshit.

It is what being human is all about. I won't get into the applications of this with respect to sexual relations as this is a Family oriented board.

I'm kind of liking a play where I only press one recurring number and I press it pretty hard. Everything else is "same bet" and usually it covers my "cost" while the single number press provides a profit.

Well, it seems to me that I too have asked this question...
I have spent a while going back and forth to Vegas from SF
in past years...as my skill set became better, I asked , is that all there is ?
Once I determined a true goal for my habit, hobby....It all became clear...
Ask yourself what occupation you are closely related to....
Be it Dr, Lawyer, Used car salesman, or Realtor...ask yourself
How much do they make per hour ?
Are you a Brain Surgeon ? 500 per hour ?
I'm a Realtor, and after split, it is only 35.00 per hour, I know, hard to believe.
So I decided to give myself a raise...to $70 .00 per hour through Craps.
$1.16 per minute...So if I make $70.00 per hour, I have a great part time job at the Table...
Plus Perks....LOL...If I play 30 minutes....I am happy with 35.00 profit...
How many good bets are you to make to earn this...1 $30.00 six or 8
Good Luck in you Dilemma..
