I've been war gaming on my practice rig with the whole intention of hitting the ATS. In the past week I've hit the All twice, the Tall six times and the small 3 times. I wasn't even close to 350 hands during that time so the 175 for 1 was well worth the bet, the the 35 to 1 was still profitable. During these hands I've changed my set according to what was needed for the ATS. Does anyone use this approach at the tables or do you leave the same set and take what comes out?

In that same time, I haven't hit a fire bet. I'm guessing everyone's numbers are higher on hitting the ATS vs. Fire Bet.

I've also been going with $8 ATS , $4 tall, and $3 small. What does everyone else do?

Unless you have a documented history of throwing more high numbers, I know I reason why your small/tall bets would be different.

tony - did you track how many times you have a 7 on the come-out during the war gaming as that can add significantly to the amount wagered even over 350 hands.

I remember once changing set to crossed 6s when left on the 12 and hit it on the second attempt. Generally I am not a big fan of changing things to try and get the last number as I feel it can mess with your mind a bit to change something that has been successful up until now. Just keep throwing and if you throw long enough the missing number will come. However I can see why people would change their set if they are confident in their abilities.

What I have done is change my set on come-out rolls. Again, crossed 6s is a fav for attempting to get the difficult numbers. But once more this can be annoying if you are a long way into a hand, use a come-out to change your set and then produce a 7 which knocks off your ATS.

Depending on ones objective is my first thought.

Personally, I prefer to mostly play it on my own shooting so that I may focus on one side or one residual number if needed.
My thoughts are to not switch sets unless the residual number is a number I'm already wagering as I'm typically wotco and always working. Generally my logic is to not waste one toss out of my roll duration/sacrifice a potential hit on a $50 or $60 wager for a possible $35 win on the TorS. My hit ratio on the TorS vs the All is probably at least 10:1 as I simply don't hit the All very often relative to the t/s.

Typically my wagers are the T OR S and the All, using a $2:1 ratio. My preference is to do only one side/all because we obviously get the other side with the hit on the All. The T or S is selected based on which side my shooting has been most dominant for that specific session/table.

IMO It certainly can be a profitable wager, especially if one is willing to do only one side per hand, never replace if knocked off, and after tracking one could start a very slow neg-progression after 35 in a row.

*Does anyone have data from personal tracking, (Galaxy gaming), or casino info(I checked with UNLV site), showing which side wins the most often or wins first ???

Using the V-3 I typically hot the Small but not the tall. Like you I rarely change sets.

I put more on the Tall because I find I roll those numbers more.

As far as come out 7's, obviously a no-no, but not as many as you think. I re-load if early in hand.

Tgold- I understand you want repeaters, but if your 1 or 2 numbers away from a $1000+ bonus, it definitely makes it worth the change in set!

One other option I did was when 1 or 2 numbers away, I pull all other bets down to minimum. I've made a profit on the hand most likely, now go for the throat! It's almost like a hedge as your taking your profits and still taking a shot.

I also never bet on other shooters unless I like their toss the first time around.

3 v set with the ace deuce on the side. 15 dollar passline 5 dollar straight up all. 5 dollar hard 6&8 working on the come out parly if hit.If you hit all the numbers and get to the very last one get a good size laybet on it. I pulled in a little tonight betting this way. I only bet a 1 dollar hardway on randies but on a warm table every body gets a 5 dollar all.

The ats has been described as my crack cocaine lol.

I chase the numbers by changing sets without changing sets. Eg if you are tossing the 3v
With the 5 in front of left die and the 1 in front of the right die look where the devil(7) lurks
You can switch to the crossed six set with 5/3 in front. If u switch and seven out the 3v would have sevened out as well might be a 43 instead of a 61.

You can switch to the crosses ones. 1's on top 5/4 in front.


Hoping this makes sense.

Today I had the 2 and 12 left. Got to that point using my Hardways set with 5s on top and 4s facing me(occasionally turn 3s to me to get a point of 5 or 6(works for me). Changed to crossed 6s and got the 2 but 7 showed before the 12.

Any thots on how to bring it home? Straight 6s, parallel 6s, stick with Hardways???

Is there any good way to hedge the last number to get T or S so you win either way? Or lose less?

I started tossing X6s on the come out to try and pick off the hard numbers early. I had some success with it so i toss it all the time instead of switching after the come out rolls.

I miss the FireBet. The ATS is a bankroll crusher (for me). I’ve never hit the All and I rarely hit the Small or Tall. I stay away from the ATS mostly.

However, when the FireBet was around, I wouldn’t change sets and let the dice hopefully have “eyes” for the missing point. The great thing about the Fire Bet is that you could still throw come-out sevens which is part of my regular play anyways.

I view the ATS & Firebets as added fun. Similar to any of the center-table bets. When they hit, they hit, but I don't really chase them.

Was playing with Irish at the D one time and we had the table to ourselves for long stretches. Table was great and dealers were good. Only issue was the crazy music they had blaring that early in the morning. They had the ATS at that time and Irish and I were going for it. I think we only hit the small one time over maybe a dozen or so hands. Was really getting to me cuz the conditions were so good I kept thinking I gotta hit this thing right?! Eventually it was time to go to our appointment so I left that table a little frustrated.

I think looking back, I got so interested in hitting numbers for the carnival bet, that I lost focus on landing the dice and managing my toss. So now, with all those types of bets, I'll bet them for fun and if they hit, well that's sweet, but generally use a single set and try to keep my focus on repeating and pressing my place bets. That has proven, for me, more consistent and lucrative.

I think I'll give this a try. Starting with a X-6 set and stay with it if box number and point are coming enough to make money. Otherwise, I'll sick with my usual 2-3 sets and hit it, if i hit it. Full steam ahead and "damn the torpedoes".

Any thots on equal vs. different bets on ATS? Like 1,1,1 vs. 2,1,2?

I bet 2-2-2 on myself and other select shooters that I know.

I set X6 on the comeout and toss out a $5 world and $1 ace-deuce. On each craps hit to knock off the outside ATS numbers, I press the world and ace-deuce bets a unit. In Vegas the other weekend, I had a come out sequence of 11-7-11-11-11 (which reminds me, I gotta get a TR put together before I totally forget everything about the weekend).
