What to expect when you join the forum

I have been a member on this forum for a few years now and I thought I would post my point of view of what you get when you join and have access to the members only section.
1- The topics. There is a wealth of knowledge around the game of craps, how to play both sides of the force (Do / don't), simple betting strategies, dice sets, dice tosses and others. What brings it home for me is that most of the knowledge is based on players experiences and trial / errors over years of live play and practice. You get to communicate with other members and ask questions about their thoughts and experiences. Most are like minded folks around the topics but have a unique approach that worked for them individually. I was able to capitalize on that when I first joined and took the good from several individuals and made it work for me.
2- The people. Most of the forum members know each other and have met on more than one occasion whether thru a class or a forum hook-up. So you get to chat with and meet "REAL" people. No nonsense folks with nothing better to do than sit behind a computer and type all day. These people are genuine and open to helping others excel at craps and for many they like to hang out and play craps. There are also hook up opportunities where folks would announce their next trip and try and meet up with others to play. Also HEAVY keeps a close eye for duplicate sign on (same person multiple names or Sock puppet) and that helps to make sure forum members are real people.
3- Trip reports / Casino conditions. We have a section dedicated for people to give us their feedback or a summary of their trip for others to see and follow. I usually go and look at recent trip reports before going to a casino visit to see if anything has changed, how the forum member did at the casinos. Usually the person will describe their toss and what worked / didn't work at various casinos. You can save yourself a lot of time and money by reading their experience and modifying your play before you even get there. Kind of like Trip Advisory for the casino.
4- A VIP lounge where members talk about anything and everything. They hook up for racing events, shooting competitions, rodeo events and all sorts of stuff. There is also a section for all the other games in the casino and good live experiences and betting strategies from the current members.
5- A monthly newsletter filled with good conversations around craps, good plays and betting strategies from the experts and a look at what is going on in the world of craps.
6- Law & Order. No this is not a cult or a dictatorship however there are rules for being a forum member and frankly the rules and terms of service are no different then a golf club or a tennis league. Simply put, be nice and play nice. There are discussions and conversations about various topics and not everyone agrees with one another but conversations are going on in a civil and social matter. No name calling, cursing or free for all. You will not be ostracized for thinking differently or bringing new ideas to the table as long as you remain civil about it.
Before joining this forum years ago, I heard all kinds of things from other unmoderated forums about HEAVY and the kind of people on here but I wanted to see that for myself. I joined and met several members and realized that it was all a bunch of nonsense. But, don’t take my word for it. Come on in and see for yourself.
