Just bet the ace deuce. There is 50% of your crap, no wasted bets on 7 and 11. If you do set 4/10 as point, I would never take down a bet that is a 50% fave to win!

If I was doing doey/don't in the way you describe, I would never pickup the DP portion. You are taking up a bet that is fav to win, whilst retaining a bet that isn't fav to win. Just load up on odds instead on the passline side of the bet to the required level.

Well yes, you can do it, but I believe it would be bad practice to do so as I suggested above. Perhaps you should run some numbers through so you can see the cost of each hedge you are looking at v just running the passline on its own?

Your best hedge is no hedge. Your DP bet in the Doey Don't negates any Come Out wins on the 7 or 11. That's 8 possible wins on the Come Out versus 4 possible losses. You're a 2 - 1 favorite on the Pass Line on the Come Out. The Doey Don't still leaves you susceptible to the 12 craps as it's a push on the DP. That's 1 loss in 36 tosses - period. I'd rather have double the wins and half the losses.

I'm in the no hedge camp too. The question is, if you are having to hedge a $5 or $10 passline, then why are you even having the bet? The casino loves you to hedge. It means more money on the felt and therefore more exposure to the house edge.

The Right Side player playing the DoeyDont is giving up a lot of dollars to the casino on the comeout roll when the Pass line has an 8:4 edge and the DontPass wager is at a 3:8 disadvantage.

In other words a right side line player is giving up an 8:4 advantage over the casino on the comeout for a 7:8 disadvantage which makes the casino owners very happy, as the pit critters chortle when they pass one another in the pit.

You're being nickle and dimed by the hedges.
Totally agree

O.K. I''ll throw in my two cents here, about all my cash not obligated.
". . . pit critters chortle when they pass one another in the pit."
Because you know how to drive a car does not mean you know all about a car.
I say this because dealers know all about payoffs and such but most have little idea how to achieve a constant winning of those
payoffs. What I am alluding to is that they basically only know one side of the game, not the side we DI's constantly are working on.
There may be a few that put in hours and hours studying the game but are most are so brainwashed in that it is basically a loser for those that play the game so that they have little to do with it outside of working. They spend hours dealing and not five minutes studying.
Of course there are exceptions but those seem to be few and far between.

On a $10 table I bet $12 on the pass and a $2 crap check (two any craps). A seven rolls I net $10 as I reload the craps check bet. A craps number rolls I net $2. Either way, I'm ahead.
