To take advantage of two of the best bets on this table i would do a iron cross 30 on the5,6,8&20 in the field then lay the 4or10 for 200.Then set the dice not to roll the # you layed any dice setter should be able to do this for 3or 4 rolls and down on the lay bet and reduce the iron cross to 18 on the 6&8,15 on the 5&10 in the field your action should be covered or close to it.After 5or6 more hits start pressing every other hit. bassdice

O.K. I think this is the way SIA would play this table and I will do it in the near future. Matter of fact, I will play my thinking this weekend. "Come on BILOXI!!!!"
I am going to do a wait for three non field number, then do a martingale. If/when, I get $80 ahead, will then buy the 4/10 for $10 bucks but still be playing the three non field numbers/martingale. On wincraps, just the martaingale has been kicking off $45+ per hour. IF I get lucky enough to hit the $125 mark, then go to the grand martaingale. That's it folks, ya got my strategy for the best game in town.
I am trying to take advantage of the no HA on two bets. If it works, great. If not, I will not lose my cemetery space.
Meanwhile, I do wonder why craps players are not three deep on this game. If they will not play this one, I guess they are not

I would love to answer this question but can't without knowin the min and max bets allowed for that table, hey hey.

If I'm shooting on a budget bankroll - $5 PL - $25 odds - $15 each 4 and 10 - and perhaps a Dylanicci Negression in the Field starting with $15. I will take the 4 and 10 to $30 each on the first hit. After that I will press only the number that hits, running $30 - $60 - $120 - $240 - $500. I'll push to $1000 if the house will book the bet. Note that I will have $350 profit in the rack when I get the 4 or 10 to $500. It's all good.

Even the Q & A's were good. That bar in the Star was where a group of us got ID checked.
If I remember, Heavy was the youngest at ~60, GC, Isgood, RR and myself were in our sixties. We had a good laugh about that.
Now, the Route 66 casino had a twelve footer but I could not make anything work on it. The Star's table had a very nice low bounce. Heavy was tossing a hand without a PL bet once, another great laugh. Yea, I am ready to go back, probably in May. Then maybe I can talk the guru into doing another seminar there. When we were there last time, the table stayed pretty crowded

Well, I'd be kinda lear of playin there cuz of the stingy 100 units spread between min/max bets. But, if I were to give it a go I'd run my modified star style progression, balls out on the field, hey hey.

soxfan- your field progression above means bet 5, then if you win, 5,5, then 10, etc. These are all if you win right? So if you lose, you go back to step 1?

Americraps, the Star is one of the "win two in a row " progressions. The first 5 steps are win and parlay the bet and the remaining bets are win, repeat the same bet. Win two in a row and reset back to the beginning.

Is that right soxfan?

The first 4 steps are pure parlay, the last seven steps are double win, hey hey.

So if you win the first $5 bet, your next bet is $10 going for 2 in a row, or do you keep resetting back to $5 on a win?

Correct you need back to back wins on any level to clear a profit, then reset to the first 5$ bet. But ya have more leeway on the back 7 steps of the progression as they are double win rather than pure parlay. I sure wish that table was 5-3000$ but I was foolin around with this usin the dice simulator at random.org, hey hey.

I would think that the results of that or any progression on the field will have some strong volatility given that there are 20 losing combinations and 16 winning ones- even though the two and twelve pay triple, evening things out money wise. Volatility wise, it's still 20 to 16, or 5 to 4 against. Banging a triple pay when you are late in your progression will return rich profits for sure.....and more than a little adrenalin, I would imagine.

While chatting with the owner of the local casino dealer school in Albuquerque this week the subject strayed to the Santa Ana Star. The school owner, who was once a casino manager in the New Orleans market, said "Nobody knows about that game or it would be packed round the clock. It is the best craps game in the world." I agreed and suggested that if I lived in Albuquerque I could go to the casino every day, play nothing but the free buy/lay bets on the four and ten plus the Field bet that pays triple/triple with no measurable house edge - and basically make a living off the natural variance of the game. He agreed, which did not surprise me. He is, after all, a casino guy - not a math guy. Were I do post this same thought on a site like BJ21 I would immediately be derided for not understanding the math of the game and the fact that if it's an even money game that you're going to win half of the time and lose half of the time. Taken in and of itself, that is a correct statement. However, there are a couple of other elements that need to be considered. First, I can take advantage of positive variance by increasing my bets on a streak. Secondly, I can set a firm daily loss limit that I absolutely will not exceed. Third, I have enough sense to get in, get ahead, and get gone. Last of all, who says I have to bet with the dice on every bet? I could, for example, Lay against the four and ten for $50 each and play $50 in the Field. If I have gnat balls I could toss out a high vig hard four or hard ten hedge, which the casino would love. But you get the idea.

Sooooo, with that thought in mind . . . let's continue down the road on this topic. How would you play the best craps game in the world. This is as close to "Heavy's Perfect World Casino" as it's going to get, guys. And what I'm really trying to do is prep you for the Albuquerque seminar I'm planning for this Spring.

The Field Bet is just a misplaced Proposition Bet with Bonuses

• Like the Prop Bets it is a one roll bet
• Without bonuses it would be at a 11.11% House Advantage
• The bonuses do not increase the frequency of winning
• The bonuses are on the least frequently hit numbers, the 2 and the 12
• The Casinos put some lipstick(Bonus) on the Field Bet to make it attractive to the bettor!
