A few years back we had a great time on the forum about this time of year talking The Twelve Bets of Christmas. The original article is probably still back there somewhere in the archives. Of course, I didn’t reveal the entire list of twelve bets in a single article. I strung it out over twelve days and let others chime in with their ideas on the best bets in the casino as the thread progressed. And it WAS a popular thread. I think what surprised people most was that not ALL of the bets listed were craps bets. Hey, it’s not the only game in the casino, guys. I can think of a couple of other game I play regularly and often! Here’s the complete list of the Twelve Bets of Christmas. If you lop off the first seven we can call them the Seven Bets of Hanukkah.

In the Beginning . . .

1. Don't Come (craps)
2. Pass Line (craps)
3. Buy the Four and Ten (craps)
4. Place the Six and Eight (craps)
5. The Free Odds (craps)
6. The Don't Pass (craps)
7. The Come Bet (craps)

And on the 8th Day God created Baccarat:

8. The Banker Bet (Baccarat)
9. Heavy's Maximum Ass Time Grind (Roulette - European Wheel with En Prison Rule if available)
10. Pai Gow Poker - Minimum Bets as a Player - Maximum Bets as Banker - Be the Banker as Often as Possible – This game is getting HARD to find.
11. Low Limit Texas Hold 'em
12. Hop the Sevens (craps)

Okay, 8 thru 12 got a little weird, but go ahead and think about those – and wonder why the heck I listed them in that order. Then see if you can come up with any BETTER bets. List THEM in order and explain why YOUR choices are better than mine. Thoughts?

Well, if it's Heavy's Perfect Casino........ for Number 13, would have to be $10 DP with $25 World plus $5 Hi/Lo

No explanation necessary.....you said it was Christmas, so back-to-back Midnights, followed by back-to-back Snake Eyes with 5X presses on all Props..... and get ready for a Happy New Years.......

Okay, I'll toss out another bet. It's a "combo special." $5-5-5 on the ATS. $15 on the PL. $3 hop sevens. $5 World. $1 ace-deuce. Talk about an expensive hedge of your hedge of your stupid ass carnival bet. We got it (almost all) covered.

Since I'm late on the newsletter again this month and no doubt this article will be featured in it - I'll go ahead and give it a BUMP and invite you guys to add your own "12 Bets of Christmas or 7 Bets of Hanukkah."
