$100 comp chip

Setting and influencing the dice roll is just part of the picture. To beat the dice you have to know how to bet the dice. Whether you call it a "system," a "strategy," or just a way to play - this is the place to discuss it.

$100 comp chip

Post by Jp1030 » Thu Dec 27, 2018 10:23 am

I have a question for you guys on how you would play this particular comp chip. Its at Atlantis in Reno and the way it works is you can take your free pay as chips or slot play. If you take a $100 black promo chip and you play it and you win on that bet you receive the comp chip back along with the winning bet. you can keep using it as long as you win but once you lose the bet they take it away. So my question is, how would you guys play it?
My inclination is to play it on the field and collect and play until it loses. I can use it on any table game but Craps is my go to game. Thanks

Nice: The promo chips here are pay and take if they win. which effectively makes a $100 promo chip a $50 chip.

Does it only pay even money no matter what you put it on? That's the way the ones locally work. I wouldn't like the field for that reason.

Personally, I'd put it on the pass line and try to toss a seven on the CO roll.

If it can be played on any bet I'd probably pick the four or the ten, pay the $5 vig out of pocket and Buy my number of choice ...

Years ago this topic came up on the old BJ21 craps sub-board and the math guys decided the best way to play it was straight up on Midnight. Go figure.

Assuming it must be played on an even money bet...

Wouldn't roulette give you slightly better odds of winning on an even money bet, red/black, even/odd or high/low?

Or maybe even baccarat, if you can play the promo on it, and hope for a big streak

Thanks guys for the Ideas. I'm not sure if it pays only even money because I remember a dealer talking about a guy that made out by playing the field with his and then a 12 was rolled. I guess I'll find out tomorrow.

Pass is the right choice, 1.41% HA, can win on a seven/11 strait up. Roulette has 2,67%/5,25% HA. Same as craps field.
Baccarat banker isn’t a bad bet either.

I usually play my comps on my line if I’ve been making points.

IF it's even money bets only I usually play them on the Don't Pass. If I get a point established I don't like I'll place the point to guarantee some sort of win.

If you like guarantees, you can play it on pass or don't pass, bet $50 the other way and a $3 12.

I saw a craps play in Tunica make this play. He saved a years worth of comp chips ($100 chips). He had accumulated $4,500. He made a DP bet with comp chips and a $4,500 bet with real chips. His friend threw a four on the come out and made the point. Take the don'ts and pay the pass line. S4,500 win with a downside of breakeven if seven had shown (this assumes no 12 on the come out roll).
