Zero Comission BANKER : Amiristar Vicksburg Mississippi

Believe it or not, craps is not the only game in the casino. Savvy players have a back-up plan for when their craps game is off. If Heavy isn't winning at Craps you're likely to find him playing Baccarat, Blackjack, or even Roulette. If the table games aren't working out he may even take a cigar break in the high limit slot area for a little hit-and-run action. But just like craps - you have to plan your play and play your plan. If you have a question on slots, video poker, carnival games or any table games other than craps, this is the place to post. Let's hear about the games you play when you're not playing craps! What's your game? What's your strategy? How's that working out for you? Inquiring minds want to know!

Zero Comission BANKER : Amiristar Vicksburg Mississippi

Post by wild child » Mon Feb 11, 2019 6:50 pm

Ameristar Casino /Hotel Vicksburg Mississippi

Found the one open craps table somewhat
TOO OVERPOPULATED
and elected fill one of the several unoccupied seats in the Baccarat Pit

The mini bac table offers ZERO COMMISSION BANKER ( NO COMMISSION Nada as in ONE to ONE USD $ for USD $ )

The kicker is the
side bets (several paying 40:1 as is FORTY -to-One )

An example : a Player 7 & Banker 7 pay 40 : 1

HOWEVER FACTOR the precise formula for the Tie Line on several different numbers
may cause ones eyes to glaze over......

Two mid 30 something ladies and their older sister were DEEP into SERIOUS WAGERING
EACH & EVERY HAND on the SEVERAL COMBINATIONS.......

While I refrained from those side bets...
...........Collecting on BANK WIN with zero commission was an enriching experience.....

Should you find the opportunity .....Playing mini bac there might be a fun thing

Suggest calling to confirm hours the Baccarat Pit is Open/Operating

Ameristar Casino/Hotel (601) 638-1000 (800) 700-7770... www.ameristar.com

P S : If you understand the complexities of those goofy strange side bets
........AND
.......can 'splane me what day talkin' bout
........fill me in on dat side game stuff....................

I'll most likely stick with THE OLD SCHOOL Plain Vanilla traditional game with Banker zero % Vig

I've seen a zero commission Bac as well, but it only pays half on a Banker win of 6.

. Craps table Minimum was $5

Mini Baccarat Minimum was $15
..............
Recent changing of The Flag has the property changing
from Pinnacle to Penn Gaming ( This and other properties listed on their Web Page )

If you use a "MyChoice " players card it is good in Vicksburg. ( if not they will issue one )..........

The three ladies were playing at SOMEWHAT GREATER $ AMOUNTS.....
Also EVERY HAND they covered both Banker & Player

PLUS

ALL THE Side BET stuff

My action held at $15 with occasional jump to $60

Player was PROMINENT
which was what I played on EVERY OTHER DEALT HAND
and
PLAYER
remained so while I was at the table

I arrived at the Mini Bac table during Hand # 12
and
96 minuets later when I decided to visit the $ Cage
the same shoe had progressed to Hand # 38....

Very relaxed atmosphere ... fun dealers and ZERO HEAT....
The HOUSE seemed unconcerned at paying the Side BET $ which showed frequently .
( I was tempted and decided the standard game was more suited to my COMFORT LEVEL )

Compared to the mad-house atmosphere of the ONE OPEN CRAPS table mini bac was a walk in the park.....

There are three other casinos in Vicksburg....This trip I only visited the Ameristar

just me saying

PS: The Mississippi River and casinos
are at the bottom of
a STEEP DOWN Hill DRIVE
a steady brake foot may be called for at the RIVER LEVEL

Possibility of cross traffic ( bottom of Hill ........)

My cash-out totaled $137 short of the slot machine deficit my spouse contributed to the adventure.

Bride of W C says her comps ( buffet pass )
makes up for the actual $ USD down the tube at the slots.....

Hi WC--thx for good post re:zero commish banker bac.
I would prefer to have the win.

It seems the "ez bac" tables are increasingly replacing the Collect-commish-as-you-go" tables. Casinos obviously like them because they can deal many more hands since they don't have to take 1-3 mins after each decision to calculate and collect the 5% surcharge.
The tradeoff is they zing us with a PUSH on a 3c7 or as HornHighJoe states:"I've seen a zero commission Bac as well, but it only pays half on a Banker win of 6".
In the Midwest we mostly see the 3c7 bet instead of the 50%win on B6. I once saw a shoe with four 3c7. A fellow Bac comrade once played a shoe with six 3c7. Anything >one 3c7 per shoe is advantageous for the casino vs collecting 5% on B wins, plus they benefit from dealing more hands per hour.

Plus 3c7 occur more often then we perceive(they also show on P side/we don't notice when we didn't have a wager on B or B actually lost with a 3c7 "7-8,7-9"). We should see >=one 3c7 on Banker per shoe. Though several are occurring each shoe they are showing or P or we lost the one that finally did show on B(7-8,7-9).
I think its important to remind ourselves when we actually lose on a 3c7 as we not only lose a highly probable W as a PUSH, we also lose a few wagers on the 3c7, so our longer B-win steaks often get crippled with the aforementioned pushes (as well as seeing a tie show in the middle of our B streak). Most of us have witnessed the potential win steaks of say eight Non-Player decisions that only give us five collectable Banker wins because we had say a Tie with a card total of 6 and two 3c7-pushes were in the eight NON-P streak distribution.
Personally, I prefer to receive a win /pay the commish along the way vs a push on the 3c7 or only collecting 50% on a Bwinon6. This PUSH is extremely detrimental if we are pressing on a streak and our highest wager is won on a B 3c7.

Although the 3c7 bonus wager payout is less than expectation, I feel it can be profitable if one doesn't wager every hand and uses a trigger when it is more likely to show...etc. I don't think it can be a pos wager on most shoes, though it can serve a purpose. Often if Im pressed up three or four levels and B is the current streak I may wager a Fortune7(3c7) for an amount that will payout equal to the amount of money in the current wager that is from MY rack. If I do indeed win this 3c7 wager(and push on my pressed-up B wager), I typically will pull down everything and leave the shoe. Not only is there a slight tendency for B to lose following a 3c7, we have also increased the NON-P steak by one more.

BottomLine: I would prefer the win.

Apparently the Zero Commission mini-baccarat game, in some fashion
pops up from time to time

It may or may not show in a casino near you.

Methinks the ZERO Commission version
is of greater acceptance to folks wishing a Rapid Game Pace
and
less so to the more traditional crowd
wishing to fondle, twist, bend
and
entertain eight other players, the dealers
and
the maddening crowd of onlookers

( While wagering HUGE $ AMOUNT on the TRADITIONAL P / B choices
prior to REVEALING the Face of THE CARDS.)

S G gaming / ShuffleMaster
has a video demonstrating the various side bets ( Carnival Bets )

Not able to post the link with my antiquated Windows circa 2008 'puter.

Yup, zero commission disappeared from Biloxi some time ago, even with a strong Asian presence.

They call it "Entertainment "

HOWEVER FACTOR
The Casino Industry is in the $ USD extraction business.

Should Carnival bets aka Bonus Bets tend to slow the game pace
or
the number of 25X and 40X wagers actually pay TOO OFTEN

then as with
anything else that interferes with their cash flow
it gets THE AX
