Greetings guys/gals,

Today is DEC 2, 2020, the NBA pre-season starts today.

Are we ready to rumble?, YES, for the season 2020-2021.

Last year we were Plus 40 games, not bad.

This year, will be betting 200 dollars a game, like last year.

Last year was the first time i made a bet on NBA games, after one year under my belt, i am hopping to do better then Plus 40 games.

If you are with me, Sign in, with a post. Heavy, are you with me this year.?

Kick off for real is DEC 22 2020.

Can not wait to spend up to 2 hours handicapping these games.

Luck for all.

jaime 1943.

The Groundhog Day connections are particularly apropos too. The movie, as well as the marsupial. :)

I like the bit where he says do you want to throw up in the truck or out here and the guy wants waffles. That to me is the essence of existence.

If the NBA never played another game I'd never know the difference. Seriously. Absolutely no interest in watching a bunch of professional crybabies. I'll take flyweight women's mixed martial arts any day over that BS. Then again, I'd sit on my back deck, smoke a cigar and watch the grass grow before I'd watch pro basketball - I hold it in such low regard. The good news? I feel the same way about the NFL.

This is the first year since i was in high school i didnt watch the NBA. NOt one single game of the playoffs. It also turned out to be a good year to choose not to watch the NFl since the injury riddled Cowboys are bad. Im not saying i will never watch again but they will have to change alot for me to. However, if Jamie gets on a roll with predictions again i might bet a few. I have only placed one sports book bet on a basketball game and won a whooping 18 dollars! probably should quit while im ahead

:D 22Inside--Ground Hog day is a great movie.

I agree with the above posters: NBA is no longer worth watching(for a variety of reasons). Another reason we dont need to watch is Jaime1943 gives us the score a day in advance.

Continued Success To All,

thnick--I agree that was funny. One of my favorite parts is when Bill Murrey is in the bar with the same two locals(They both present like they go to the bar every single night/do the exact same thing--get drunk), and they are philosophically discussing if the beer mug is half full or empty,...etc. Bill M says somthing like: "Do you ever feel like you just do the same old thing every day, and nothing you do really matters." The black hair guy stairs at his half-empty mug/ says: "Yep that pretty well sums it up for me."

Im not sure why I like that movie so much. The first time I thought this is just another slapstick Bill Murrey film and might be worthy of watching it once. However, I have watched it several times and think its one of Bill Murreys finest(right up there with What About Bob).

Continued Success,

Ya don't have to watch 'em to bet 'em........

Jaime, welcome back, hope you are well, and that the earthquakes and hurricanes are in the rear view mirror with that busted telescope........

I was ahead last year on your picks, when the 'rona shut things down. For those that don't recall last year, please give us a brief walk-thru of what you bet, as I recall its point spreads; and that you have a couple of basic triggers for limiting which games you consider worthy of a bet. Plus, I recall your limit is one game per day, right?

Greetings DN,

Regarding the earthquakes, they are taking a Nap.

The hurricanes they too are taking a nap for one year.

And the telescope, mankind has lost something that can not be replaced.

Glad to know you were ahead last year on my picks, untill that beer from mexico [ corona 19 invader the USA. ]

Before i give you a brief walk thru/ on how i bet, let me say this about Shootital he has shown you guys how to beat this game of craps, and now i will try to show you how to beat the NBA.

Yes, you must bet the point spread, and bet only one game a day, do not pick a fight with three guys, you will lose that fight.

What triggers my betting on a team... is the following, never forget that a good team will always beat a bad team in the long run.

If my handicaping gives me a team winning by 7 points or more, and Vegas has my team winning by 6 points or less... that triggers my bet for that day.

Hoping you have a better year, betting my picks this year.

Jaime,
Thanks, that’s one of the triggers I use in football as well.

You always bet the same amount , right? Have you ever thought to bump up after a loss? Like a Fibo progression or something?

I guess I need to open an on-line betting account, deposit $250 in it and set up $25 per game for 10 games minimum or until it runs out (or end of season) following Jaime's picks just to see how it turns out. I still wouldn't watch those mf's touch a ball, but I guess I'd take a profit if someone else did the hard work.

I’m with you 100% on those thoughts Heavy.

And while I could not care less about basketball, I thoroughly enjoyed following Jamie and his picks when he was doing them a while back. All ready for your system to flex its muscles Jamie, let the profits flow forth to all!!!!

Greetings guys/gals,[ yes we have gals on this board ], how many you ask,

Today is Dec 20, 2020. Waiting for this MF year to go away.

At this moment is 85 degrees and alot of rain...Love the rain. I'm 77, makes me remember my child hood, also when i was in boot camp, it rain every day More or less.

This tuesday, it begins again... jaime TBHCIPR and the guys against las vegas, odds makers are ready too.

Rickhem, heavy, and DN8R I've already done my handicapping for the Grand opening on tuesday.

There are only two games to handicap [ THE LAKERS and THE CLIPPERS ].
[ THE WARRIOS and THE NETS ].

My numbers give me the [ LAKERS over THE CLIPPERS...to win by 5 points or more...........................] now i must wait for the odds from Vegas on tuesday before i make my Bet.

luck for all.

Hmmm. The odds don't bother me nearly as much as the vig the bookies charge and the service charge it appears most of them take when you want to pull your money out of your account. Any recommendations for on-line sports books that don't rape you on the take?
