Defensive Manœuvre

Was thinking about a way to limit que tip/boys in the hood damage, in Biloxi, of course. One semi effective way is after come out, come one unit, come one unit, come two units. Works great with a PSO but this ain't perfect world casino. Light bulb goes off. What happens if you delay the first come by say 5 rolls after a point is set? Sounds familiar? What do you think?

Sounds like a five count to me oh my side my side .Thanks man i needed that. On a serious note just bet across with 3 hits press equally as you can on all numbers. After another guy do the same then on the third shooter press it for 4 hits then go down. On a table where the dice only last 5 rolls your golden on a point out your toast really burnt toast

Yeah, it's just a stealth five count and you know what I think of Scoblete and everything he touches. The guy needs to write a new autobiography. Clueless About Craps.

Greetings Parson,
What do you think about 5dollars bill, 8 count...he will not bet untill a shooter has shot 8 times, then he will bet the Don't on that shooter.
I have tried to have him bet 5 dollars [ one unit ] on the come out, on the don't side... then 5 dollars on the 6 and 8
then on the first hit on the 6 or 8 rack the the [ one unit win ] after that play free all night.
He will not.
Luck at the casino.......jaime.

That's basically the One Hit - Can't Miss, Jaime. However, in Bill's case it's a $15 table minimum most of the time. And he's playing with a very limited bankroll - usually around $100 per session. Three bets puts half of his bankroll on the table. He can't afford to have more than one bet per shooter with his bankroll and he needs to be careful in picking his shooter. Hence the "eight count." The average "hand" at craps is approximately 8.5 rolls. He' simply working off the math of the game.

House of Orange , I like your ideas.
Speaking of five counts.eight counts,..etc. I have some success by waiting on new shooter to set the point, wait four tosses and if point hasnt returned I then lay the point(e.g., 9,x,x,x,x:Lay the 9).
All the best,

I've spent a lot of time lately studying the on-line videos posted by Brian and the gang at Hawaiian Craps Shooters featuring live casino sessions at various properties around Vegas. Most of these guys are decent shooters and above average bettors. And yet . . . they could benefit greatly from a little Axis Power Craps training. One of the things I cover in my classes is the fact that the DI with an SRR of 7.0's average hand will run around 10.5 rolls. If you watch their videos they confirm this about 90% of the time, with rolls in the 10 - 12 range, the occasional PSO or 3-5 roll hand and the rare 19 - 26 roll hand. I mentally run my betting strategies against theirs while watching their videos, and by power pressing dominant numbers early and taking down non-productive numbers after 6 - 8 rolls, then doing a steep regression after 10 - 12 rolls I rack up huge wins. By implementing a couple of other basic rules that may sound like superstition to others but inherently "work," I increase my win margin even greater. Example, If a shooter sevens out, hop his point on the next Come Out. It there is a stick change turn your bets off and hop the point. Remain "off" for two rolls before turning your bets back on. If the shooter makes his pass after tossing a long hand (18 plus rolls, for example), stay off the pass line on the next hand, turn your bets off after the next come out for two rolls and do a STEEP regression before turning them back on. You'd be stunned at how many times these strategies paid off.
Differences in betting strategies blew my mind. One player in particular is in love with the Five. He'll play $30 on the Six and Eight and when either wins he'll take the winnings and Place the Five for $35. Then our of every subsequent win on any number he presses the Five by $5. He may have the Five up to $100 and it's never rolled. Meanwhile, I'm starting the 8 out at $18, power pressed it to $42 on the first hit, taken $50 for $1, then pressed to $90, taken $105, then pressed to $180 and taken $15, than taken $210, then dropped $30 and power pressed to $420 . . . and he's just now pressed his eight up to $60 because he's going "up a unit" and pressing the Five a nickel and locking up the difference. Okay, I get that he's locking up some money along the way, but do you want to compare racks? Six hits and he's locked up around $200. I've locked up $150 more than that and get $500 for $10 on my next hit - if there is one. Just saying. Love those guys but I can help them win more money based on the hands they're tossing.
But hey, Brian and I have a good relationship and we'll likely do a class with those guys next year, and even shoot video of it so it should be a fun time for everyone. I'll keep you posted.

I'm not sure I ever thought a single paragraph might make me a better craps player. But you might have just done it!
I'm getting better at shooting (thanks in part to this forum) and Bone Tracker, but I feel like I've been lacking in the "how to bet" category. On myself, I usually bet $44 inside and then add $22 inside pressure until I get to $88 or maybe $110 inside. But I'm learning my dominant numbers, and I need to get comfortable power-pressing those numbers up, while letting my non-dominant numbers go.
Anyhow, thanks!

Chris,
You’re on the right track. Tailor your approach to the dominant number in your set. Then go next level and see what the other sets in your Coaster Group have large positive distributions in other numbers. For instance I’m always on the six and eight and once I’ve got the action paid for I expand to the 4 & 10 as my 4/10 dominant set’s secondary strength is the six and eight. I also have a couple of horn sets that have secondary strengths in six and eight. It’s amazing what you can deduce from BoneTracker once you start asking these kinds of questions

I hear that Mr. Scoblete is shoping a new craps bible. I hear he has come up with a 50,000 count. The beauty of this count is that one does not have be at the casino playing and betting since no player is getting such an impossible role. He guarantees a win (fine print says its a win for Mr. Scoblete when you buy this craps bible. Save your money and give it to Frank.
The moral of this clearly BS story is that nothing takes the place of practice and practice and more practice. As in golf and bridge, one cannot play adequately without practice and knowledge.
