Laying odds

One of the things I learned from Heavy on this forum is the strategy to flat bet or lay odds. People would say I don’t want to bet more to win less. One of Heavy’s responses I read somewhere is you are willing to bet $44 inside to win $14, $66 inside to win $21, $110 inside to win $35. This stuck with me and I will play both sides. Just hope I pick the right side. 6 rolls or more is a do table. Under 6 rolls is a don’t table. There are simple statements made on this site but very effective.

You have no idea how often I fight this battle with players. LOL. Thanks for posting that.

Hi advdel77

Thx--I like your OP above. I concur. I think its important to track (especially to track gaps between our event vs expected gap size). Sometimes the Lay offers one a great opportunity(or at least an additional option). Plus I like the option to raise/lower. I also think Bet Mobility is important(I can move it around to various #s, pull down, and reinstate at a later time in that hand or latter hand,..etc).

Cheers,

Agree..... and a quick tidbit.... when I wander thru casinos checking out the tables - if I see 2 people playing the darkside on a particular table - that's a BRIGHT GREEN light to buy-in and play darkside, DN8R

PS I still tiptoe in, no way is my first bet table max.....
