It is amazing how often interrupting your own roll, with a two way hard way, results in a seven. No good deed goes unpunished.

One of the times I'll always remember.

I was playing with a friend at Lakeside in Osceola. He has a good toss, way better than mine but big bets make him nervous. if anyone is betting over a hundred on one number he gets the nervous shakes like its his own money.

He was into a decent roll when the bigshot loud mouth big betting player on the end, which he'd been able to ignore up to this point, tosses out a black chip, late, and loudly proclaims "hundred dollar hard eight for the shooter". At this time I do the hand across my throat signal to the dealer and she quietly turns all my bets off.

Guess what the next roll was?

Hopefully a hard 8. But we know that is not the case.

Bi-ased dice, 6/1, no doubt.

1. This is a game of complete chaos...

remember back to your first impression of all the action the first time you stepped up to a busy table and put your money down--guys talking loudly, 3 dealers moving money with speed, and seemingly arbitrarily, many players' hands in the "bowl". Cross-talk everywhere, etc. When you get used to the game, all that is peripheral noise. Then, the "bred" superstitions you learned from others took over. Now you're not confused easily but other players' antics set you off more easily than when you were ignorant. When you were ignorant, YOU set everyone else off, and in complete bliss and ignorance. Capture that 'bliss' moment again and hold it in your mind while you play. You can't control any of it. Remember when you played your first hand? you didn't have a clock; whatever time it took to resolve an incident, you had no idea that the dice had to "keep moving". Now you've got expectations. Live'm down.

I wish someone had told me that. The money in, out, I can live with that; finding a betting system that suits me, live experimentation and practice can solve that. But going to a live game with preset expectations of random peoples' conduct, nope. I was ill-advised. Especially where I play most- IP Biloxi, where they'll comp anyone breathing to come in and try a game. What "order"?? You got urban utes tossin' two $10 bills into the middle yelling bets while the stick is pushing the dice; coupla neophytes stalling the game with improper bets around the PL, late HW bets, newbies with hands low, on and on. Maybe it's better at a higher-stakes table--say, $25 minimum--but that's a preset expectation, too.

2. refer to rule #1

Covid has made it even more chaotic, never have I seen more DCs/DPs with odds on the four of ten shoot down. Nor has there ever been a higher incidence of the sheriff and the deputy. Both causing high damage and then follow ups with a PSO.

Then for a OHCM, it seems like every comeout is a 6,7, or 8.

Total chaos right and if your shooting is a bit off this day, it’s a quick day.....DN8R

will be up at Cherokee this week. I expect to experience anything. Qualify shooters the best I can..play the don'ts when 7s are showing within 5 rolls..the usual.A deteriorating hand might offer me a no ten or 4..I let the shooter throw the ten, then wait a roll before I lay up on it. Don't ever
like getting hit with the bullfrog breath. Take the no bet down if the mister mcnasty doesn't show in three rolls. Kinda like that.
